From what I see and what separates the elite QBs from the Driskel types is the ability to recognize pressure and understand where the hot routes are and do that with poise. Some QBs like Russell Wilson have that other gear that was lost on Brady and Manning and that's the obvious ability to buy time with escapability. However, look at Wilson's sack numbers. He has been sacked at an incredibly high rate in his career.
Anyway, Driskel is what he is. It's a bit frustrating to watch opposing defenses not even disguising rushes. Imo, he should at this level be able to recognize it and know or call the hot routes. I am certain all of the passing trees on each play where they have those routes. Not necessarily CHECK DOWNS either. It's a different aspect all together.
Anyway us wishing that he would become this great QB with poise and able to become something he has never been is absurd on many levels.
