Truth isn't tied to extrinsic sources; neither is logic.

If we were to take that route, however, it would seem to me just as likely that when two people with wildly different worldviews can come together and agree on something, there's strength.

I'm not even comfortable with that, though.

I can accept the Wave comparison. He's generally a good person and has relatively decent takes. RE: the game of football, anyway.

    Jaded though? Good grief.

There are so many talented and smart people across various multiple spectrums of society. One of the smartest peers I have met in my time in school holds opinions you would love. And, one of the smartest peers I have holds opinions that you would disagree with. They're both legitimately awesome people, and gifted. There are many valid ways to view and live life.

I have an awesome quote from one of my favorite justices -you'd like him a lot- but part of the quote touches on politics, and while it's probably not a violation, I'm on thin ice. So to paraphrase Justice Holmes: The way of life here is for many different people of different varieties.

Jaded is awesome. He knows his football. And he makes some solid and fine arguments in other arenas. He just does it in a crude and blunt way. But I think the message is more important than the messenger, mostly. And, he's a crude and blunt person.
