That's my thinking. I think its going to be a mediocre season again sadly. The 7-9 type. We will prob be 2- 4 by the time Lock is healthy to play. Fangio will get a pass because of the injuries this year I think as long as we are competitive all season....Losing your best player on offense and Defense as well as Lindsay for a bit, plus losing your starting QB and CB for 3-4 plus weeks...well that would be devastating for any team.

rest - https://www.9news.com/article/sports...a-9bc12e33b88aDENVER — MRI Monday may well determine whatever hopes the Broncos have of salvaging a successful season.
At stake are exams to the right throwing shoulder of starting quarterback Drew Lock and knee of No. 1 receiver Courtland Sutton. Sources tell 9NEWS there is concern that both injuries could be significant. The 0-2 Broncos could use some good news.
Lock suffered a right shoulder injury as he was tripped up on a sack, fell awkwardly and was driven to the ground by Pittsburgh edge rusher Bud Dupree midway through the first quarter of the Broncos’ 26-21 loss Sunday. Sources tell 9NEWS that Lock’s injury is in the back of the shoulder area, which fit with the diagnosis of former NFL team doctor David Chao, who after looking at the film fears the quarterback suffered either a posterior labral tear or rotator cuff contusion. Chao warns there’s no way to get a conclusive diagnosis with the MRI exam.
Best case scenario is Lock misses the next two games, but it would be much more if the MRI shows serious damage.

Mother******.
The only thing I can really hang my hat on this season and that NONE of this is normal. I'm happy to have any Broncos football at this point, but I really need to acknowledge this as a true rebuild in its second year and look at it like a preseason. Any games we win are gravy, lets get some reps for these young guys and build it right. I'm seeing some flashes and some fight, that will tide me over.
In q throwaway year we are set up prime to land penei sewell.
The Plan at the moment:
Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).
Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell
Damn Sutton out for the year. I didn't like the back to back WR's and no OT this draft but its shaping up as a Brilliant move. Don't be surprised to see Cleveland come up to the active roster now.

- John Elway“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”
This is why we drafted WR's and not CB's. This isn't me trying to style on you or anything. This is just me defending my position. We've been solid with a bunch of CB's playing because of injuries to our backfield. Fangio's schemes and our safeties mask a lot of warts. But it's hard to do that with young WR's.
It sucks because Elway's brilliant draft gave us a way to have depth and add playmakers while adjusting for Fangio's scheme. It should have given us great luxuries, but now they are necessities insofar as Hamler and Jeudy being out on the field getting heavy action.
Just hold me, Doggerton. I'm so sad.
