Looks like Taylor lost his job, Chargers going with Herbert.

of course they are. . . the kd has looked fantastic, and there's zero upside with rollbar taylor. . .
“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”

I agree but some people were talking that Taylor should get his job back but if Herbert is playing well and is the future than they should just roll with him as it looks like that is what they are doing.

It's academic now, but I don't like that rule on that non TD by Ronald Jones. By the time they blew the whistle he was already rolling into the endzone with no one near him.

I never saw the replay but did he make the catch? I thought that was what they were ruling in terms of whether or not he caught it or not.

He made the catch but they ruled he couldn't advance it because the whistle blew. But I don't think the whistle actually was blown until he was already rolling into the endzone.

I will never understand the NFL rules. I thought the hit from Fuller was on a defenseless receiver and then the fumble looked like the ball was never fully secured but it wasnt ruled that way. Lol

You can hit a defenseless receiver, it just can't be in the head. That hit was shoulder to shoulder, perfectly legal.

This game changed pretty quickly. Will Brady and company respond before halftime?

Ive seen quite a few plays where a receiver is hit not in the head and it gets called a penalty. The Lynch hit on Hall comes to mind.

They don't always call it consistently, but this one was actually called correctly per the rules. And given that he'd caught it and taken 3 steps, I don't think he's technically considered defenseless anymore anyway.
