I just don't see what you're seeing on that play. Both guys were fighting for position. It just wasn't blatant enough to call. Refs shouldn't be deciding games on ticky tack calls like that. They were right to let them play there.
But again, back to my main point, I'm not sure how you can say that was a good call then say they are calling it too much this year. If that's your standard for OPI, they should be calling it half a dozen times a game.

Giants defense sorry
It's been reported that there were NO positive tests for COVID after Thursdays game in Kansas City. A large amount of the credit goes to the Texans defense that practiced social distancing on any Chief player who had the ball during the first three quarters.
I miss the old Mile High Stadium.

Barkley possible ACL
Parris Campbell with a bad leg injury
Nick Bosa with a bad leg injury
Christian McCaffrey is now out of the game
