Today’s list of my personal favorites (ask me again tomorrow):
1.) “Stairway To Heaven,” Led Zeppelin (don’t @ me, if this isn’t on the list then what’s the point?)
2.) “Let It Be,” The Beatles
    3.) “Gimme Shelter,” Rolling Stones
4.) “Interstate Love Song,” Stone Temple Pilots
    5.) “1979,” Smashing Pumpkins
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

I’ve got my epic. I have maybe the greatest pop rock ballad of all time. I have the blues rocker. The beat drop. And the driving song.

I think that about covers all of it.

So about this. I just listened to “Superstition,” and while I’m not sure it qualifies ... damn that song is one of the best ever.

Awrighty then. here is mine, circa 2020. Its pretty weird; all but one are long Proggy epics. All are songs I have listened to over and over and over again to and never tired of. Starless wins easily as my all time favorite piece of music, and I've been lucky enough to see it played live twice

    1) King Crimson, Starless
    2) Yes, Close to the Edge
    3) U2, I Will Follow
    4) Porcupine Tree, Anesthetize
    5) Tool, 7empest

Almost made the cut, Pink Floyd - Echoes, Genesis - Supper's Ready, David Bowie - Heroes, Pixies - Gouge Away
    “What fresh hell is this?”

In the Air Tonight- Phil Collins
    Come As You Are- Nirvana
    Comfortably Numb- Pink Floyd
    Jane Says- Jane's Addiction

    Honorable mentions
    Gone Away- The Offspring
    Heart of Gold- Neil Young
Something I Can Never Have- Nine Inch Nails
    Through Glass- Stone Sour
    Duality- Slipknot
    Glycerine- Bush
    Anything by Stone Temple Pilots
    So Long - Everlast

absolute exercise in futility, IMO. . .

but i'll put up some suggestions that haven't been mentioned yet. . .

    fleetwood mac - dreams
    clapton - layla
tom petty - running down a dream
zeppelin - over the hills and far away, ramble on
hendrix - all along the watchtower, foxey lady, manic depression
van morrison - days like this, brown eyed girl
dylan - like a rolling stone
CCR - proud mary, down on the corner
neil young -- hey hey, my my (out of the blue), rockin' in the free world
pink floyd - wish you were here

and so, so many more. . .
“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”
