A complete departure from the last two drafts, IMO.
Too many good 40 times, I bet?

There is a reason so many LT's went before Jones. I said it before the draft when all these draft sites had him as the #5 LT...he's a rotational tackle at best. Even on a bad Cardinals OL.

He's a midget. He can't block anybody. I just don't think he's going to be used as much as people are speculating. I would expect a largely inconsequential year from him.

I'd like to be wrong, but we've seen this before. Super fast midget dude is supposed to light the NFL on fire and. . . . doesn't. He gets rung up a few times and gets happy feet; or he never learns how to block anybody so he's too much of a limitation out there. They can only use him on certain plays and it just might not be convenient to trot him out there for a certain route he can run.

So, for practical reasons, he never has the impact people anticipated for him. Because of his physical limitations. Some special guys can overcome that. But, very few.
You've obviously never paid much attention to a Shurmur offense. Constant 3 receiver sets with players that compliment each other. Speed (Hamler), size (Sutton) and YAC (Jeudy).

Not the way i would have run the draft especially since it was do deep at WR but at least the Broncos did address certain positions later (except OT).
Jury will be out on Ojemudia, but Albert O. makes sense. Imagine Fant goes down with an injury...who do we plug in as the athletic, pass catching TE? Any faith in Heuerman, Butt, Beck or Vannett to play at that level? Yeah...he's more of a depth pick, but come mid 4th round, that's about all you can ask for from any pick.

I guess my only question is why keep all the others if they are not worth keeping? Most teams that have elite TE's dont have anyone that backs them up with the same type of skillset or production. Not sure why Denver would be that worried about it unless they felt Noah isnt the answer or cant/wont stay healthy. I can live with the pick but it just really never made any sense considering we have so many players already at that position. I suppose if they start cutting some of those guys loose it makes sense for roster room but i cant imagine keeping that many TE's on the team in general.

At this point, it's hard not to give an A on the draft.

Everyone is complaining about no OT, but I agree with Coach re: Bolles.

I think we can expect Beck to be gone and I read that they were trying to trade Heuermen during the draft, so he's probably a goner as well. Dropping him saves us 3+ mil in cap space. Butt may stick around (if healthy) only because he is cheap and we'll likely carry 4 TE's. Fant, Albert, Vannett, Butt.

At the end of the day, if they didn't make a serious attempt to draft an OT...and didn't get involved in the cheap deal for Trent Williams...one has to assume they are ok with giving Bolles another year.

Cant really give a A based on potential and later in the draft we have a lot players based on just that. Hopefully they work out but I'm ok with B grade based off potential.

I do see a interesting situation developing if the Broncos line up Hamster in the slot (moving as fast as his little legs will take him) and Albert O on that end of the line, which one does the safety cover? Both have deep speed and can burn them. One can catch the pass over their heads and the other can outrun them. THAT might be really fun to watch.
I miss the old Mile High Stadium.

Agreed. And the reason Elway stated they werent going to pick up year 5 on Bolles is not because they werent, (it would have been stupid to let him go anyway) but I think it was to send a smoke screen

    on draft day.
    IN PATON I TRUST.

Still not sure they pick it up until they see if the 2nd half improvement continues into this season. Then, maybe they'll negotiate an extension if it makes sense.

I wasn't on board for the 2nd pick, there were higher needs with better players on the board.

I am not sold on CB they SETTLED on. I feel like he's as questionable as Langley, Yiadum and the other bottom tier CB's we have taken the last few years.

The rest I'm good with, but those 2 really threw off what I felt could have been a great draft class.

I think we will be seeing a lot of people just calling him Albert lol. I would love to see Fort in the practice squad this year
