Hopefully it's for a T. Our LT is the worst in the league and we desperately need an upgrade.

Could be...but I wouldn't count on it. You don't move ahead of the Raiders, Jets and 49ers to draft a lineman

    Repost, but for conversation sake:

I’m not sure I believe this for a second.

Maybe you ask what the price of picks are to see if you can go up if you’re targeting someone and want to take the risk, but you don’t make random pre-draft trades for five spots if those five spots aren’t in the first three picks of the draft. I imagine, or would at least hope, Elway has inquired the price of each of the picks before theirs, so he knows what it would take to get to a specific place in case someone he’s targeting falls to a spot.

You weigh what you have to give up against your player evaluation and see if it’s worth moving up, but you don’t make that trade before you know who’s going to be there. I just don’t believe he’d do that.
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

I'd be almost positive any "agreed on" trade would be contingent on the guy we want still being there.

Yeah, I know, probably a WR but I really want us to build up our big uglies first.

    I would think so, too.

The Jets need T, you could make a case for the 9ers with Staley being so old and them having another 1st round pick (especially if Wirfs is ther for them).

As deep as the draft is at WR i think it would be a bad move to move up for one. Im more in favor of us trading back if anything.

Let's protect our young stud QB so he has a chance to become an old stud QB.

I could see the argument for the Jets going either way, but SF was just in the Super Bowl. I have to think they are more interested in upgrading from Samuel and Bourne, etc. than drafting a tackle that will sit at least a year.

Only sacked 5 times in 5 games with a different OL pretty much each week. I'd say we are off to a good start protecting him.

I guess the thought process is there is a difference between Jeudy/Lamb...and then all the rest.
