Thread: The Prizefight! Smiling Assassin vs. The Poet.

Default The Prizefight! Smiling Assassin vs. The Poet.

SA has declared that he believes the LT from Georgia will be the first OL taken in the draft. I believe otherwise. As such, there has been a bet between the two of us. The loser of the bet is ostracized for an entire year, until the first pick of the following NFL draft before they can post again.

Both of us are men of conviction. Any assassin who can smile believes in themselves. And no true Poet can lack the outlandish style of being confident.

    God Bless this sacred event.

    Prepare to Fight!

I like it -- one of you is sure to be dishonored for all time.

Who is the next most likely tackle to be taken? What is the expert consensus?

It will never be the same, Buff. If I lose I might not be able to handle the shame.

    https://walterfootball.com/draft2020OT.php

WF has Wirfs and Willis at 1 and 2.

    https://www.si.com/nfl/2020/02/14/nf...best-prospects

    SI has Andrews at 4th.

Some mocks have Andrews at 1 or 2. It's a great bet because reasonable people can disagree. The loser wasn't a fool they were just wrong, maybe even just less correct...

    God I'm bored.

Wtf is going on here? And Buff it's a total tossup. Thomas is the most polished but the other three are physical freaks

One year seems a bit extreme. How about one month?

Thomas is the best Pure LT, Willis is the best Pass blocker at RT which leads credence to versatiltiy on either side, Bechton is the Most physical freak between all 3 of them, and Wirfs is a RT who can play guard......

Wirfs goes first cause teams are dumb
Willis goes next because of numbers
Bechton goes 3rd and probably top performer next year
Thomas goes 4th cause teams are dumb and ends up being super solid all year.

    Denver's 2024 George Paton Draft/FA plan

    Draft
    RD1- TE Brock Bowers, GA
    RD3- QB Spencer Rattler, SC
    RD4- CB Josh Newton, TCU
    RD5- S Reggie Pearson, OK
RD5- C Michael Jurgens, Wake Forest
RD6- K Jonah Dalmas, Boise St

    FA

It's been agreed upon already. There must be blood.

    stop. . .
“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”

WTF. I happen to like both posters. So no matter who wins I lose for a year?

Get The F out and GFY

    How about that bet?
    The Plan at the moment:

Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).

    Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell

How about you raise the stakes and make it a pinkie or part of a pinkie, first digit or something. Yakuza style.
