I think his stats and fantasy football make him a bigger deal than what he is.

I think we'd just end up quibbling over definitions.

When I glanced I saw 4 yrs 16 mill (as in 4m/yr) and thought, 'yeah that's high but he's good'

Which shows how bad I am at math but also how bad I understand the market.

But ... part of me thought that was the actual contract and was a bit appalled.

Well just wait, if Lock pans out like we think he is going to break the bank.

Agreed. He still has one year remaining on his rookie deal and the Panthers would have picked up his fifth year option. Not sure what the huge rush was to sign him to an extension.
Too bad she doesn't cheer for the Patriots dressed like this

They're in a rebuild and need to lock down the few assets they have. Wouldn't make sense for them to surround him with other talent over the next 2 years only to watch him walk. So, I get it from that perspective...but the total money is just crazy.

He's a quarterback, so it's going to hurt.

Why do I suddenly feel like we’re not resigning Lindsay?

I don’t mind the idea of extending a RB early, being younger gives the team a better chance of him being worthy of the final 2 years on the contract.

Caf already has a ****ton of mileage though.

It shocked me that he is only 23. He’ll be 24 when the season starts.
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.
