    Default Best Time Wasting Websites

Got some free time today for a bit, and more coming this weekend with the quarantine stuff so I'd thought I'd share some cool time-wasting life-ruining websites with you here that I have found browsing the (clean) depths of the Internet and things like Reddit. Could be a cool place to curate some of these so people can bookmark them:

    Rave DJ:
Pick 2 or more songs and have an AI mash them up for you!

    Random Streetview:
Teleport around the world instantly with Google Street View and this API!

    Zooniverse:
Help scientists and researchers with their projects by examining aerial maps for ancient structures in the Amazon, or other cool crowd sourced projects.

    Songmaker:
Create your own symphony! Or just a bunch of beeps and boops.

    Sandspiel:
Looks boring at first, the next thing you know 2 hours have passed. Hint... you can make a volcano with gas and fire!

    Shorpy:
Search HIGH QUALITY National Archives and other historical photos.

    What Was There:
Search a map of any area to find photos of locations that you can use a slider on to fade in and out what is there now and what was there. (when you click on a photo click Google Street View to see the effect!)

The Internet Arcade and The Console Living Room:
Just a small part of Archive.org which allows you to play classic arcade and console games for FREE right in your browser. While you are in the archive, download some music from your favorite artists or check out their thousands of downloads of audio books, documents, software, etc. in a safe and legal environment.

My 90's TV (Also available in 70's and 80's Versions):
Go back in time to your CRT TV and emulate surfing channels well before we surfed Netflix.

Thats all for now, will try and dig up some more later!

*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

This year? You sure you want to go there. It’s a depressing place.

Next thing you know we will be watching teams play in empty NFL stadiums! It will be more or less great! Hell, I bet there is still crowd noise somehow like at Century Link Field in Seattle!

I can't get rave dj to work. It doesn't ever seem to add any songs I select.

I think its also dependent on the video you use, I noticed Vero music videos seem to work best and I hear if you have a Spotify account to use its even better.

Cool mashup of Beck's Black Tambourine and Last by NIN I just did, I bring you Last Tambourine: https://rave.dj/6L8AhFBJheehug

    A few more good ones:

    The Wiki Game
Start with one topic and using only Wikipedia links get to a completely different topic! For example can you get from the Wiki page about Twinkees all the way to the one about Satanic Cults in less than 6 clicks? MAYBE?

    A Dark Room
Ever play old text based story games? No? Light a fire and try it... if you dare!

    The Useless Web
    Russian Roulette for useless websites!

    Human Benchmark
How do YOU stack up against other... humans

I'm pretty boring. I go to broncos forums, Facebook, Fox News, Komo 4 news, or Anchorage Daily News.

I've had to finally set up some sort of schedule. I think it's been nearly a month since I've been to work. I signed up for some classes on iTunes U. It's mostly just watching lectures, but it's something. Maia doesn't seem to have enough work from school so I'm finding some good books and youtube videos to try and keep her brain active. Yesterday she read the first chapter from a Ruth Bader Ginsburg book and we watched a video over the 3 branches of government. Today I had her read one of the profiles from a "successful women of the world" book that I got her. We watched a video about misinformation online.
