Got some free time today for a bit, and more coming this weekend with the quarantine stuff so I'd thought I'd share some cool time-wasting life-ruining websites with you here that I have found browsing the (clean) depths of the Internet and things like Reddit. Could be a cool place to curate some of these so people can bookmark them:
Rave DJ:
Pick 2 or more songs and have an AI mash them up for you!
Random Streetview:
Teleport around the world instantly with Google Street View and this API!
Zooniverse:
Help scientists and researchers with their projects by examining aerial maps for ancient structures in the Amazon, or other cool crowd sourced projects.
Songmaker:
Create your own symphony! Or just a bunch of beeps and boops.
Sandspiel:
Looks boring at first, the next thing you know 2 hours have passed. Hint... you can make a volcano with gas and fire!
Shorpy:
Search HIGH QUALITY National Archives and other historical photos.
What Was There:
Search a map of any area to find photos of locations that you can use a slider on to fade in and out what is there now and what was there. (when you click on a photo click Google Street View to see the effect!)
The Internet Arcade and The Console Living Room:
Just a small part of Archive.org which allows you to play classic arcade and console games for FREE right in your browser. While you are in the archive, download some music from your favorite artists or check out their thousands of downloads of audio books, documents, software, etc. in a safe and legal environment.
My 90's TV (Also available in 70's and 80's Versions):
Go back in time to your CRT TV and emulate surfing channels well before we surfed Netflix.
Thats all for now, will try and dig up some more later!
