I had a girlfriend who used to be into Feng Shui. She tried to explain that how your home was designed and decorated signaled your oneness with the spirits or some goofy shit.

I asked her to give me an example. She said the southeast corner of your home represents your love life. I reminded her that this was where the toilet in my apartment was.

Then I read a story where a woman in Los Angeles hired a Feng Shui consultant who told her she needed a bright red front door for maximum bliss. The woman had painters make her door a bright red. The next morning, the door was covered in gang graffiti.
