Willie Davis, Green Bay Packer DT during the Lombardi era died of kidney failure 4/15. He was a HOFer and one of the greatest D-Linemen of the 60's era

I was joking around, didn't expect you to get upset. Deleted my post. Sorry my joke wasn't funny.

A great player, one of the best. I remember NBC tried him out as a broadcaster after his playing days and he'd go on about the Yussun Ollus, only to figure out later he was talking about the Houston Oilers.
I miss the old Mile High Stadium.

Mike "Mad Dog" Curtis, MLB for the Colts, and another all-time great from the 60's just died. He was famous for levelling a drunk fan who ran on to the field during a game. It was a Great moment in NFL History!

Phil May, lead singer of groundbreaking psychedelic band The Pretty Things died May 15, age 75. If you aren't familiar you should be, they've been around since the mid 1960's and still performing. These guys were WAY the Hell ahead of their time. Their 1968 album "SF Sorrow" may have been the first Rock Opera/Concept Album, predating Tommy and Quadrophenia...and its better, too.

Three players with ties to the Broncos have passed away recently:

    * Jim Kiick, best known as a RB with the World Champion Miami Dolphins ('72-'73) passed away from Alzheimer's. He played part of the end of his career in Denver.

    * Bill Groman, a former High School teacher who starred at WR for the Houston Oilers in their early AFL days. Groman kept the paystub from his teaching check in his helmet as motivation to push himself in his playing career. After a year in Denver, he played backup with the Buffalo Bills. Groman was a member of 5 teams that played in the AFL Championship Game in its first six years.

    * Jerry Sturm, a two-time All-AFL defensive star with Denver (1961-66) in his AFL days who had previously played in the CFL and later played with the Saints, Oilers and Eagles of the NFL. He and his wife owned and ran a restaurant called "The South" in Englewood, CO during his retirement from football.
I miss the old Mile High Stadium.
