I don't see why he's the best current option we have. Does he have more upside? Maybe. But in terms of what he's actually done, he's not better than Teddy. He has to prove it in camp.

Higher ceiling, imo.

Think about that tho, 2 6'4 recievers that can run block along with two tes that can run upper 4.4s. Defense would never know if Run or Pass was coming. I would hate to play against a set like that. You would have to guess pre snap.

Not to mention Juedy, Hamler, and a pretty good backfield. Lock has no excuses. Let's see it kid. If he has fixed some of the issues, this team is going to surprise the hell out of some people.

Yep, if he fails it won't be due to lack of talent around him. And the backfield is definitely a good mention. Several people think Williams could be the best back from this class.

I think we both agree that if we even get B- QB play we score more points than we have in a half a decade. That said, I get the want to be conservative with what our defense SHOULD be. However, I'm in the if you have a Ferrari don't be afraid to actually shift to 4th kinda guy. I think Lock has that capability. Teddy will rev the piss out of it in 2nd.

We know what Teddy is at this point in his career. Lock has sucked so far in his career, but we don't have total confirmation that it's in his DNA yet. That's why I think Lock should start the season, so we can confirm that he's got it or doesn't. We should know within the first few games.

Don't get me wrong, nothing Teddy does turns my crank. Nothing I've said in this thread is any sort of endorsement of Teddy. I think we very well might have the worst QB situation in the NFL. Maybe other than Houston if Watson is arrest or traded.
