Not impressed with Lock at all so far. My optimism this season was his deep ball. His deep ball has been very inaccurate. The rest of his game has been pretty bad. Not giving up yet, but it’s not looking good
This season is gonna look a lot like Baker Mayfield’s 2019, I doubt he gets out of this season with any kind of fan support.

Yet Mayfield is still in Cleveland and all is well. Its not the end of the world if people dont think Lock is playing up tot potential or even "the" guy at the moment. We all get to see how the rest of the year plays out and whether or not he can improve before the end of the year.
Was a shitty game - but I’m still encouraged by this team. Lock needs be able to fail and grow. He’s not shown it’s not too big for him. We can’t just kick out good players And hope for a unicorn.

People getting a trigger finger for Lock based on any 2020 game need some broader perspective. He may stink up the joint but he's getting the job in 2021 based on his 4-1 start under Scangarello and Covid and injuries. 2020 has been a bizarre year, a mulligan year. In some ways it would be best for it to be a complete disaster and failure so that there is maximum learning.
In other ways, it would be nice to get back to that 4-1 winning action. Is Scangarello still out there?
I kid.
I'm going to start my stopwatch on game 1 next season. It's been too weird a year for me to emphasize this year's results. New OC, young QB, young offensive players, Melvin Gorgon, injuries, etc.
I hope the Broncos win out and face the Queefs in the playoffs and get retribution--Mahomes could get injured after all--but it felt like the target was 2021 all along for me anyways.
Oh and f u MG3.

1. With what money
John Elway had 10 starts in his first season. He had a 47.5% completion percentage, 14 int's, 28 sacks and had a 54.9 quarterback rating. Payton Manning started all 16 games his rookie year completing 56.7% of his passes with 28 int's, 22 sacks and a 71.2 quarterback rating. Drew Lock has 8 complete games under his belt, has dealt with two offensive coordinators in that time, and had a screwed up off season with no pre season games this year. Development takes time and lots of repetition, maybe a little patience is in order.
People use Elway and Manning as examples every time a young QB struggles. That's two examples over almost 40 years. Those are outliers. 99.9% of QBs who struggle early ain't turning into Elway and Manning. Can we please retire bringing up these two examples every time a young QB sucks?
