I didn't say it's likely or that it's likely we'd get Rodgers if he were shopped. Just that I thought it was stilly to say Rodgers would be as impossible to acquire at this point as Mahomes or Wilson.

I'm fully aware they let Rodgers sit for a few years, but that was also 15 years at this point, when they had a different coach and GM. So we really don't know how the current staff will handle it.

So no, I'm not going to apologize for my completely reasonable take.

Brock was supposed to be Denver's Aaron Rodgers.

Yep. That post was not that I think it could or would happen. He is the most likely of all of the SB contending QBs to become available though.

Hes a nobody imo. I think he getting drafted caught the whole world off guard in the first rd. He might be a more polished Brett Hunley or whatever his name is that they took in the 2nd or 3rd rd or whatever a few years back. Which made the pick all the more confusing.
    The Plan at the moment:

Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).

    Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell

His contract. hes older and will start the decline. IDK.

Why the hell did they draft Love in the first?
Why have they ignored Aarons plea for a WR or two?

You say Garappalo I say Jarrett Stidham.
If you dont like that one then I say Rivers and Brees.
If you dont like that one then I say siemian and Lynch.

So, back to my initial point. Of all of the Qbs that could be available (cant believe I have to spell this out to minute details for everyone), possibly, in the very unlikely world of any of them becoming available, at all, Rodgers is the one most likely. He is also the only one I would consider. Again, in such a long set of circumstances, however, circumstances that odds favor rodgers more than any other SB type QB in the league. The entire league. Of all the teams. He.

The only real surprise was that it was the Packers, who have regularly failed to address other positions on offense around Rodgers. Love had been on the radar for a few years. All the measurables, Josh Allen type of prospect.

Why did Green Bay draft Aaron Rodgers in the first place, why did Dan Reeves draft Tommy Maddox in the first, why did Belichick draft Garapollo in the second? I don’t think drafting a quarterback signals you’re definitely done with your current one, but I grant you that my sarcastic reply was less plausible than your original unlikely post.

hate to be the bearer of bad news, but matt ryan is vastly more likely than aaron rodgers, if john were to go to the aging vet QB well again. . .

barring something unforeseen, they need to just stick it out with drew. . . dude still hasn't even had a full, regular off-season. . .

“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”

That last fact gives me little solace when the same is true for Burrow and Herbert, both of whom look well on their way to being elite.
