The issue with Harris is that he was a one year wonder and this one year deal will keep him motivated. Plus, he did come across as a guy who really only worked hard when a payday was near so...we're protected on two fronts in a way.

Nice. Casey, Purcell, Harris is a hell of a line. That front five is spectacular at this point, maybe best in the league, no joke. Now, inside linebacker.

    (I realize we technically play a 4-3 over/under, but it’s effectively a 3-4)

What? Shelby has worked his tail off the entire time he has been here. The issue other teams might have with him is a lack of talent and that he is an "overachiever" if anything. You would think teams would have learned post-Shaq Barrett that Denver D players are legit.

I love Shelby's knack for the big play in crucial situations, whether it was a sack on Brady or blocked placekick or intercepting Roethlisberger. The defense needs more than Von Miller to make big plays.

I agree that this, plus the acquisition of Casey, really sets up our d-line well. I expect we'll see more out of Raemont Jones this year also. I can see one more DL drafted for depth but, in honesty, we're deeper now than we are on the edge.

As a result, the Broncos are bringing back Harris on a one-year $2.5 million deal that can reach $3.25 million with escalators.
    Cap friendly, too.

Wonder what this means for Wolf.

Eh...the comment about how his wife was getting on him to do his best in a contract year is telling.

    We are protected.

And for the record I was probably the only person who gave a shit about Shelby before last year. That's a Poet guy. I'm just saying, he be what he be.

I don't think it's really telling, it could be, but not necessarily. There are plenty of wives who want their husbands to make more money for whatever reason
