    Seems like a good move.

Obviously the Titans feel like his play has declined enough that he's not worth $11, $12, and $13 million the next three years...

Broncos are getting a Pro Bowler under contract for three years - hopefully last year was an anomaly (kind of like AJ Bouye).

As I said in the offseason thread, DT is not an easy position to fill immediately in any draft. It takes a minute for the skills to translate to the pros. Casey's still got some years left and he changes the complexion of Denver's defensive front SIGNIFICANTLY.

Denver's still got to find a starting offensive tackle in the draft, IMO, but I'm not unhappy with any of Denver's offseason trades/signings so far.

Well they also have a cheaper replacement on hand that they drafted last year in Jeffery Simmons. The need to free up funds was apparently more pressing for them.

I like the risk/reward. The Titans have to find some room to pay Tannehill and Henry -- even if Casey's play has fallen off a bit, he's going to be much more productive than any rookie or middling free agent. And if we get lucky -- we get a Pro Bowler.

Playing the 5-tech inside Von and Chubb could get him back to that level. Price tag is a little icky, but I like Casey at this price more than Reader.

This is the part where having Fangio is supposed to pay off. Guys have down years. He was outstanding under Dick LeBeau, and then the past 2 years under Dean Pees the defensive structure perhaps suited him less well.

So if Fangio's suits him better and he still has enough in the tank (I think he does) then this is where you get a Pro Bowl level competitor for market rate to man the position for multiple years. No problems there at all for me. Fingers crossed we finally locked that down.

It doesn't hurt to have a HOFer on one end causing chaos and Chaos-in-Training on the other side, that's for sure.

Denver didn’t need Reader, Casey is a much bigger need.

Moves like this can reinvigorate a player that has kind of stalled. He has a great history of play, and while it fell off a little this last year, I believe we will get a great year from him.

He has to prove himself to this lockeroom.

Good move imo, and at 11 million, a price the Broncos were probably looking to pay rather than 13 mil

Hope we can get Wolfe back too.

I have no problem with the trade, we can still address it at some point in the draft if need be. Im just disappointed we couldnt land Schobert or Martinez at all. Plenty of good LB's in the draft but it would have been nice to add one of those guys.
