Purcell got 2nd round tender. They will draft NT depth and elevate Walker and Jones playing time. I wouldn't rule out a Wolfe resigning either.

I assume that’s why they’re trying to retain Purcell.

i love Jurell Casey. I've liked him since USC. He is just a beast. And even at 5 or 6 sacks a year. He simply implodes the pocket and can't be moved in the run game.

I love me some Jurrell Casey. Absolute beast. Great move with little risk. After this year he has no more guaranteed money on his contract. Elway is killing it right now. Casey is so much better than Reader with much less risk and commitment.

Oh and just to add, Mike Purcell was #1 DL vs the run last year, Casey was #12. Right now the starting DLine looks like Casey, Purcell, and Dremont Jones. Not bad at all if you ask me. Should make it easy for a healthy Von and Chubb to do some damage.

How bout a Casey DE, Purcell NT and JD Clowney DE defensive line?

A great pass rush will always help a secondary more than a great secondary will help a great pass rush.

I’m really hoping Casey will give us that interior pressure we’ve lacked since Malik Jackson left. Von and Chubb could go off if the QB can’t step up because Casey is collapsing the pocket up the gut.

That would be nice but I don’t know what Clowney wants money wise. He’s a little overrated IMO.

I think his market is tanking, may not actually be all that overrated.

No one does less with more than Clowney...the thing is he has so much talent his 80% is more effective than most people's 100%
