Again, Broncos expected to release or trade QB Joe Flacco by end of week, per source, following Jeff Driskel addition as Drew Lock's backup. #9sports

Can't pony up the funds for Reader but, heck, let's get a retread just because he's a "veteran".

Anybody got a Flacco voodoo doll that sends him either to the Patriots or the Chargers?

Shurmur watched highlights of Brandon Allen and said to John we need a better backup this guy sucks.

    So two castoffs from Detroit?

I thought we had money to do something this year.

    Pretty disappointing so far

I'm not sure I would call Glasgow a cast-off as much as I would call him underrated...and we needed a decent back-up QB for the new system. But I agree. I thought the plan was to be "aggressive" in free agency and fill needs on the defensive side of the ball. At this point, we can argue over WR or LT all day long when it comes to the draft, but it's looking like a guy like Kinlaw may be the ONLY choice we have.

Because few teams go through a whole season without injuries at the QB position, particularly ones that CAN'T BLOCK! Geez, look how much time Lock missed last year because he simply fell wrong.

I saw some of Driskel's work in Detroit last year and he's worse than Allen. He's 1-7 over two seasons with the Lions and Bengals with a 79.6 QBR. Unless we got him dirt cheap, I'd rather develop Allen and Rypien.

Again, who cares. They are backups for a reason and not expected to be the 2nd coming of John Elway. Driskel may not be much but Allen and Rypien (who's done jack shit in the NFL) are no better. Good grief.

Is it true that this guy is comparable to that cat from New Orleans? If that's true that is basically the only way to get me excited about a backup QB. If we could use a guy the way the Saints used that cat it would be awesome.

I find it hard to believe. I don't know anything about Driskel, but Hill is a special kind of athlete.

I thought of this as well, hopefully we get Wolfe or Shelby back.....I prefer Wolfe if healthy.

IF we dont, and we walk into the draft as such....Kinlaw would become almost a must have, which I dont like because then the Elway may feel pressure to go up a couple picks for him.
    IN PATON I TRUST.
