    Default 3 moves, 1 pick

New salary cap is a bit less than expected. Seems we'll have about $35-40 mil to use of Free Agency. This is good for about 3 impact additions. Gimme your top 3 moves in free agency and a 1st round pick to compliment those moves.

Chris Jones, DL, KC...tweets indicate he gone
    Joe Schobert...great fit at ILB
    Javon Hargrave, DL, Pittsburgh

Draft Kinlaw, DL, South Carolina....although my heart is at OL, if we signed the names above, Kinlaw completes our DL revamp and makes our D sick.

He must think he has the leverage.

Could be. He tweeted that all things come to an end.

    Ambitious go all-in/reckless route:

Amari Cooper -Sutton is consistent, so we can had a number option who can go off huge. It's fine and reminds me a lot of how the Stallworth and Swann tandem worked in Pitt. We would have the most talented one two punch in the NFL. Our running game would instantly gain a half YPC, MINIMUM, if we signed him. Fant would get the best looks any TE in the NFL consistently gets. Lock would have an offensive infrastructure around him, and an identity is instantly formed with AC: two WRs who can do anything in the passing game, and if they line up on the same side of the ball the nickel LB/CB is on Fant.

    Goodnight.

Bulga, LT: He's not great. He's just good. And if he can protect a declining Rodgers at a high level he should be able to protect a surging Lock. I understand this is a great LT class, but let's be honest, none of these guys are slam dunks. There's no Walter Jones or Munoz's here. There could be a few top end guys. I just feel uneasy about coaching up a young QB with an even younger LT!

Leonard Williams - he's a freakish athlete who could use a change of scenery. Some say he's a selfish ***** and others say he's a great teammate and misunderstood. All I know is that my gut tells me he's not a bad guy, and his best football is great, and his best production ever seems likely ahead of him. If he can give you Pro Bowl caliber production in a place he hates, with coaches that he hates, with a front office that's arguably shat on him, imagine him going to a place that is giving him the most money he's ever had and has coaches that like what they see in him.

Draft Pick - Cee Dee Lamb - speed kills and our guy has an arm as good as Mahomes. The new NFL gives an edge to offense and we all know it. Now exploit it. Punish them. Break the game wide open by putting the oppositions fourth and fifth best coverage options on Fant and this rookie WR. We're not asking CDL to do anything but run a few slants, fades, and nine routes.

    Holistic approach:

Gerald McCoy - he's still got some plus side athleticism and he's a pro's pro. He would love, probably, going to a team that has some realistic fringe playoff potential with TEEMING potential for two or three years. He would be our most skill DL in a long time.

Breshard Perriman finally had a good season. His talent is top notch. It's a signing that might cost some dough, but he probably inks a short but lucrative deal. That's what you get when you've had his up, but mostly down, career. Still, if he's just a decent threat his speed gets us decent looks in the running game. Lock needs that. This is probably a medium floor hiiiiiiiigh ceiling type of signing.

Prince Amukamara: a really average CB that flourishes with Fangio in the past. This is the most solid, unexciting, and vanilla signing ever. You will never be happy that he's on your team except when you watch way worse corners play.

Draft Pick - Top LT that you like/can get via whatever means necessary. I reserve the right to include a LT that is acquired during the draft in exchange for picks. Also, party on. Excellent.

jack conklin, corey coleman, and shelby harris-- draft javon kinlaw. . . or connor mcgovern, robby anderson, and arik armstead-- draft andrew thomas. . .
“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”

I'm not opposed to drafting a LT, but I think like in past years there is a little too much value placed on some of the draft options this year. If we draft the best of what's left over at 15, then we run the risk of ending up with another Bolles.

Maybe but then again maybe the ones that getting drafted earlier turn out like Bolles too. Take a guy like Bechton (Sp?) who has risen up the charts very fast lately, he could easily bust compared to another guy like Willis JR. Its all a crapshoot but Denver seriously needs to address the line. In the end its all a hope game in terms of how they pan out.

I agree they need to address the line. I just dont think it absolutely has to be in round 1. The Cowboys have 4 1st round picks on their OL and they finished 8-8. The Chiefs won the Super Bowl with one first rounder on their OL.

Meh, the reasons for those two teams records goes beyond their Olines especially at their respective QB positions. Mahomes makes up for a lot of the Oline issues while Dak cant capitalize on the Cowboys. OL isnt the be all end all but Denver has tried drafting OL in later rounds in the past and it hasnt panned out too well for them. Now would be a good time to take a shot in the first and see if they can change their fortunes. Of course Denver has never done anything that i really wanted so i fully expect to draft a shitty player anyway.
