He's just a guy looking out for his own interests. I'm not sure that makes him a POS

This isn’t what McDaniels did to the Colts. If Colorado wants big time coaches — spoiler alert: The Regents don’t care — they’re gonna have to pony up. Michigan State did, and I’m betting the CU AD said his hands were tied with money, so he was gone. Hell, Tucker’s contract almost didn’t get approved when he was hired.

It's almost as if sports, money, and academia don't mix well.

My issue is him lying straight to CU's face about it. I dont think people have much of a problem with him taking more money, its just that when asked he kept saying he wasnt going anywhere.

Mel Tucker was the eighth lowest paid Power 5 coach.

I get people don’t like the money aspect but there’s your answer. And if CU doesn’t want coaches to leave, they’ll have to pony up.

Yeah, doing a big media blitz for days saying you aren't leaving then immediately bolting probably isn't the best way to go about things. It's one thing to answer a question asked of you and lie/deflect, but from what I understand he was going out of his way the last few days to tell everyone he was staying.

No issue with him bolting for the money, but he went about it pretty shittily.

I may be wrong, but I wonder if he was doing that so that would force Michigan State to give him an offer like the one he received if they really wanted him.

I didn't find Tucker to be that great for all this fuss. He's gonna have a tougher time in the Big 10.

The timing of it is McDaniels-esq.

I know how hard it is at Cu.
