Default CBS Sports Releases Three-Round Mock

    https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/...aken-on-day-2/

    For Broncos fans:

    1. (15) - Kristian Fulton, CB, LSU -
"If the Broncos aren't bringing Chris Harris back, cornerback becomes a top priority. Fulton can man up on the outside as Bryce Callahan returns from an injury to play the slot, setting the back end of the Broncos defense up well."

Comment: The Top DLs and WRs are off the board so this is a decent pick that might stand a trade-down if it truly happened. Maybe this is why Elway was sending feelers about trading up. Other possibilities: A.J. Epenesa, Edge, Iowa, Travon Diggs, CB, Alabama, Josh Jones, OT, Houston, Henry Ruggs and Tee Higgins, WRs.

    2. (14) Jalen Reagor, WR, TCU -
"The Broncos don't need to reach for a receiver in Round 1 as they already have a great No. 1 option in Courtland Sutton. Reagor would be the perfect complement, as his speed opens up the offense."

Comment: Solid mid-second pick. Other possibilities: Russ Blacklock, DL, TCU, Justin Jefferson, WR, LSU, Antoine Winfield Jr, S, Minnesota, Prince Tega Wanogho, OT, Auburn.

    3a. (13) Jordan Elliott, DL, Missouri -
"Elliott has the potential to push his stock much higher than this during the predraft process, but if the Broncos can snag him, he'd be a great option to help replace Derek Wolfe and solidify the team's depth in the interior."

Comment: If he falls this far, this is a quality pick for DL help. Other possibilities: Thaddeus Moss (Randy's son), TE, LSU, Denzel Mims, WR, Baylor.

    3b (19) Matt Hennessy, OL, Temple -
"Hennessy should be able to step into a starting role at center for the Broncos, who need to upgrade the offensive line with at least one of their three third-round picks."

Comment: Their own rankings list him as the 129th-best prospect yet he's the 83rd guy taken? Sounds like a reach to me. Other possibilites: the next guy we take.

    3c (31) Ben Bredeson, OG, Michigan -
"The Broncos added a center prospect earlier in Round 3, and here they go back to the well to pick up a potential starter at guard, giving the offensive line the injection of talent it needs."

Comment: This guy they ranked at #108 and seems a better choice than Hennessy. Other possibilities: Zack Moss, RB, Utah, Rashard Lawrence, DL, LSU, Devin Duvernay, WR, Texas, Lamar Jackson, CB, Nebraska.

Overall comment: Decent but not stunning. Hope we do better than this.

    Your turn, fellas. Dig in.
I miss the old Mile High Stadium.

I like that they addressed team needs but not overly crazy about the picks and where.

I don't know much about those players, but it just feels wrong.

personally I hate the Fulton pick he is a rd 2 prospect at best....also feel like rd 3 could be a reach for the Bredeson pick, but I Love the Reagor and Hennessy Picks, rd 3 for elliott pick seems high but addressing DL makes sense in rd 3....I think I prefer Davon Hamilton, Mustafa Johnson or Murchison over Elliott however.
    Denver's 2024 George Paton Draft/FA plan

    Draft
    RD1- TE Brock Bowers, GA
    RD3- QB Spencer Rattler, SC
    RD4- CB Josh Newton, TCU
    RD5- S Reggie Pearson, OK
RD5- C Michael Jurgens, Wake Forest
RD6- K Jonah Dalmas, Boise St

I now believe that REAGOR should be the WR the Broncos target, not Ruggs. Reagor has the speed to take the top off, but also can return punts, a huge need for us. Reagor uses his hands, can sky, and back shoulder throws are easy for him. He is a terror in the open field.

So at this point its all about where to pick him. If he falls to KC.....can anyone imagine him and Hill on the same field with Mahomes throwing the rock? I dont want to witness that. Trade down, then back up.
    IN PATON I TRUST.

The Chiefs drafted their Hill replacement last year when Hill was in trouble over child abuse issues. It would be wasteful for them to have three speed guys. They would be smarter to find a routes/hands guy to replace Watkins.

Chiefs have Hill, Watkins, and Hardman. All burners.

If they go WR they will probably look for a possession receiver of some sort.

Judging by what’s been written about Shurmur’s offense l don’t think Denver has any interest in TE’s now.

I think he has his Evan engram in Fant, he seems to like his blocking ability as well. So it wouldn't surprise me to see us stick with Fant and let beck and some of the other guys compete in camp for a spot. I expect it to be heuerman or Beck when the dust settles a slim chance it's both.....more than likely we would keep fumugali or Butt if he is healthy over Heuerman and save the 4 mil or whatever it is for the cap.

They should keep both Heuerman or Butt and Beck, then dump Janovich.

    Beck > Janovich.
