It’s probably for the same reason the Rams inquired, who don’t even have a 1st rnd pick for the next 10 years.

    Draft
    1st round— Cooper Dejean CB
    2nd round— Jack Sawyer OLB
    3rd round— Will Shipley RB
    4th round— Ricky Pearsall WR
    5th round— Ladd McKonkey WR
    6th round— Cash Jones RB
    7th round— Carson Steele RB

It's smart to know the landscape and how picks are valued each year. Nothing to see here in regards to getting Burrow, but still an intelligent play.

I’m with you on this. DEN should use whatever cap space required to get players in FA on defense and maybe one offensive lineman. My wish list in this scenario would be the following:

    Byron Jones-CB
    Cory Littleton-ILB
    Michael Brockers or Arik Armstead-DL
    B.J. Finley- G

Then in the draft, go heavy on offense unless someone on defense unexpectedly falls to them. Or trade picks to land these players: Kinlaw, Ruggs, Cushenberry, Taylor (RB). One can wish. Right?

Need to build the team around Lock. And if they beef it up. Then the team is looking at a franchise QB.

Hey JPPT, noticed your collage avatar--that's some great stuff there.

Yeah, it's really nice. By the way, guys, do you believe in numerology, mystic and stuff like this ? An incredible story recently happened to me, and I started to believe in miracles. I have read on https://www.sunsigns.org/angel-number-211-meaning/ that the number 211 is a very bad sign. I was very lucky that I remembered that. I wanted to go to other city that is on 300km away, but my ticket was ending with 211, so I decided to not go anyway on that day. On the next day, I found out that the bus that I was supposed to go with has crashed and all people died. Isn't it a miracle?

Well it's really nice, so that's nice.
    The Plan at the moment:

Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).

    Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell

Are you sure your finger is not on the 'lock thread" button?

    Exactly right.

Means nothing. If there were some kind of serious negotiations that would be different. The fact that the info was released means the conversation never went anywhere.

Why wouldn't Elway explore talks with other teams about their draft picks. You can bet he talked about more than just the #1 pick too. He might have wanted to know about other trades we didn't hear about.
