    The Okoye hit was great.

But I like the hit he laid down in Super Bowl 32. He laid out everyone in his path.

Is Edgerrin James really a HOFer?

    Yes.
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

My top 2 has always been Elway and Atty but they could technically share #1 for me and i wouldnt be bothered by it.

He was elite in coverage. Granted that meant something different back then, but he was elite in coverage. Ronnie Lott is often called the greatest safety ever, but he spent four years at cornerback. He also kind of sucked during the last chunk of those four years.

Earl Thomas gets some mentions at safety GOAT. That's not unfair. But in this modern era tackling isn't as important (weird, I know) and honestly Thomas' greatness comes from being a genius and always reacting/reading the play properly. He's quicker than Atwater, but the rest is up in the air. You didn't have to *fear* prime Thomas like you did *fear* Atwater.

Rod Woodson was pretty good too.

Probably. Before his ACL injury he was on par with almost any RB ever (adjusted for time period and length of play) and after his injury he was still elite. His numbers trailed off a bit, but he was a monster. The selection makes sense, especially since we are starting to not value longevity as much, and careers are starting to be shorter. There's a sort of synergy with the early retirements now and Edge in the HoF.

He used to just murder people on the field, man. Plus he still lived in the 'hood after he got paid and was his own security. He used to also hire drug addicts trying to change their lives as his security, too. He'd pay for their rehabs and treated them like human beings, well before that was a thing like it is now.

    He's basically a Demi-God.
