After all his mouthing off, even if he had come back to Denver, they were probably done with him.

Besides his losing a step, you have to figure GMs don't like when players act like CHJ has the last couple years.

I'm not saying Elway handled this right, but CHJ is a complete moron for how he handled it. Wow. Taking less money plus a year less on the contract to go to a losing franchise with virtually zero fan support.

    CHJ was like Ray Crockett.

So much for those comp picks, amirite? CHJ isn’t getting shit, barely more than McGovern, no one wants Wolfe and Shelby.

I know everyone loves Wolfe, but he’s had a ton of injuries. I can’t imagine anyone is going to pay a ton for that.

I can’t either Mo but I hope he comes back. He’s still a really good rotation guy. Especially with what we did today at that position.

A friend called me on the way home from work and told me he heard 2 for 20 on the radio, and I couldn't believe it. I'm sure Harris thought Elway was low balling him, but if they really offered 3 for 36, after giving him more than his contract value last week, and still complained like crazy....

I'm hoping with his injury history, he doesn't get great offers and Broncos sign him to a reasonable deal that they can swallow. Would love to have him back, but didn't want the Broncos to reach too far, because of his injury history.

Was the 3/36 deal still on the table this week? Best I can tell that was several months ago. I don't think he wanted to stick it to us so bad he'd give up an extra year and 16 million dollars to do it. I can only imagine our deal was off the table at that point.

He didn't take it when offered.

    F him.

I’d be willing to bet it was like McGovern. It was probably on the table until we traded for Bouye then pulled. He had a small opportunity to gauge the market through his agent and now he’s taking a pay cut. Sorry to see him leave like this and not happy he’s staying in the division but everyone moves on eventually. CHJ was my adopted Bronco for what feels like forever. I’ll miss him.

He bet on himself. I don't blame him for it. You'd do the same if you thought you could get a better offer. It backfired on him, but I don't think less of him for going for it. I'd rather a player have that kind of confidence in himself.
