agreed. . . plus, this is slated to be an unusually deep and talented FA class on the D-line. . . OTOH, unless they can get castanzo, i think they almost have to look to the draft to add legit talent at OT-- and that almost has to be a high pick. . . bolles and wilkinson (with no depth behind them) as your only options once james goes down is quite simply a recipe for disaster. . . to me, the likely need to spend a high pick there makes it even more critical to find an answer at CB in free agency. . .

This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”

We have to sign a cb in FA the draft options aren’t great. Chris wants top dollar. If we’re paying top dollar why not get the guy in Jones who locks down consistently and is 4 years younger. Bradberry is another legit option.....it’s time for Chris to go get paid by the eagles....

So that's a completely invalid comparison then. He had no way of knowing what kind of offer he'd get in a year. He bet on himself and lost, but that doesn't make him a douche.

Ok? I guess I just don't see what was douchy about turning down the 3/36. He thought he'd get paid more elsewhere. He was wrong, but it happens.

Obviously winning wasn't a priority for CHJ.

His conduct last year, his self praise, etc. He apparently was done with Denver, but he certainly didn’t post a contract year performance and attitude and it cost him. A lot. Two years from now he’ll be lucky to get the equivalent of the $10/yr of this contract. Two more years of wear, and he’s already on the decline.

    Sarcasm I am missing?
    The Plan at the moment:

Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).

    Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell
