    Default Assassin's 2020 Pre-SB Mock Offseason

    Free Agency (our guys)
    Re-sign Simmons
    Cut Flacco
Tag the Center (only due to lack of options)
    Re-sign Wolfe
Determine what Harris wants and decide from there
Pick up the Bolles option (again...limited options)

    Free Agency (street FAs)
Sign Joe Thuney, G, New England
    Sign Javon Hargrave, NT, Pittsburgh
    Sign Joe Schobert, ILB, Cleveland
The CBs Jones and Bradberry want PAID. We have plenty of cash, but I also don't hate our secondary like some do if everyone is healthy and screws don't bend again.

    DRAFT
Round 1: Tristan Wirfs, OT, Iowa
TBH...I'm fine with either of the OTs that fit in this range. Be it Becton, Wills, Johnson. Don't care. Get an OT. The ones in free agency are injured or pondering retirement.

Round 2: KJ Hamler, WR, Penn State
Playmaker with speed to burn. Love watching him play. Adds a dimension we don't have.

Round 3A: Cam Dantzler, CB, Mississippi State
Can't have too many cover guys this day and age. And it's insurance against bent screws and an aging Harris.

Round 3B: Antoine Winfield, S, Minnesota
BALLER! And again, coverage guys matter.

Round 3C: KJ Hill, WR, Ohio State
Another weapon to overwhelm defenses. Let's get a bunch of fast guys and let them loose. Patrick and Hamilton go from WR2 and 3 to possibly WR4 and 5.

Round 4A: Rashard Lawrence, DL, LSU
Good spot to grab quality depth. Also like Davon Hamilton of Ohio State here.

Round 4B: Hakeem Adenji, OG, Kansas
Versatility play here. Good player with experience all over the line.

Assumed Comp Pick: Ke'Shawn Vaugn, RB, Vanderbilt
    More quality depth. Another weapon.

Names for late rounds, possible comp picks:
    Daniel Bituli, ILB, Tennessee
    Reggie Robinson, CB, Tulsa
    Darryl Williams, G/C, Mississippi State
    Kelly Bryant, QB, Missouri

You were 100% correct. I like to think tht Elway and Co know more than me and the fan base do. But sometimes the base is right cuz we all have eyes too. I gave them the benefit of the doubt with Keenum too when he wasn't well received. But i won't be fooled a third time.

Like the draft especially the pickup of Schobert. However, i would skip the WR in the 3rd and go and get another LB like Snowden, Harrison, or the boy from Miami. Then if you want another speedster go and get Reed out of UVA later in the draft.

Luckily for the first time since Manning we can be excited about our QB.....

    Joe Reed is nice.

Not sure they need an ILB in draft if they landed Schobert. Snowden to me is Leonard Floyd v2.0 from Fangio’s Bears defense, great fit but not an ILB. Definitely need another edge rusher, 2nd or 3rd round for someone like Josh Uche, 2nd round for Julian Okwara if he falls.

If Andrew Thomas is really moving down to the 12 range like some of these NFL Network "experts" are indicating, I am 100% in favor of moving up 2 to 3 spots to grab him.

I think this is another situation where people overthink this stuff. You see that happen every year you get obsessed with Becton who's big and athletic or Wirfswho's never played left tackle and forget that Thomas still is the best left tackle in this draft. Plus he has a great last name if you want a tackle.

Wirfs looked great at the combine and Cleveland is gonna let Schobert walk. Good day for this mock offseason. And according to Rappaport, Dallas is likely to let Byron Jones hit free agency.

Although LT is what I really want, Wirfs would be perfect for us. Opinions are varied, but plenty feel he can handle the OT spots. That would be great insurance for both of our current guys...for different reasons. And if not, he'd give us a top 5 OG pairing. Love position flexibility.
