As for tech and weapons, you can be assured they would be so vastly superior it might as well be magic to us. Just having the sheer power to move an invasion force across the galaxy at speeds fast enough that it doesn't take millennia is mind boggling. You'd be dealing with at least a level 2 civilization, which means they can control and use the power of their entire stellar system (think sun, like with a Dyson sphere). Hell, they might not even be carbon based or humanoid. If they are, they have likely become almost one with their tech at this point via augments, etc. It's actually far more likely they are super intelligent machines more than biological entities.
