Personally, I'd crack a cold one and smoke it if I got it. Although I'm sure the aliens would be highly amused at your use of ballistics. It would look a little something like a guy angrily firing nerf darts at an apache.
Hey man im goin down with a fight. While drinking and smoking. **** dem aliens!

Timmy is right, but they likely would not even have drones. They would just infect our atmosphere with some sort of virus or bacteria that would wipe us all out while they watch from the beyond the moon. Well out of range. Possibly convert all of the oxygen to CO2. Then infect the oceans and watch us all extinguish.
    The Plan at the moment:

Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).

    Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell

Well Dave loves being probed, so I imagine he'd be first in line!

I don't think it qualifies as a fight. In this corner, a 1 ton grizzly bear. In the other, a cricket.

If they wanted to exterminate us and keep the planet, sure. However, earth doesn't really possess anything special that you can't find at higher quantities elsewhere in space if you can traverse it. So, our planet wouldn't be worth much unless it was in some kind of tactically advantageous location. Humans themselves would be far more valuable and likely why an alien race would commit enough resources for invasion. We'd be great for slave labor.

Do you know why roly polys seem to all walk around in the open later in the evening?

If Timmy! is correct and the most valuable resource on earth is varied samples of human DNA, or actual human organisms, what is the most efficient means of achieving this goal? Certainly not revealing your presence.

Humans might not be the prize though. Consider: other lifeforms not fully understood to man--organisms that might withstand extreme tempuratures or pressures that could help with terraforming ops--think algae turning a CO2 planet into an O2 planet. What if there is some form of life that converts one element into another deep in the core of earth to create a stronger magnetic field? Some kind of essential, highly prized organic matter?

You have to think, though, that any alien civilization just cruising around looking for other sentient life forms is basically bored and looking for sport. Not sure how impressive of a pelt I'd make--would any of you have a daffodil mounted as a trophy? No, it wouldn't have any social value.

The only thing that makes a lot of sense is if there are resources on earth and the value of them is unknown to humans because we lack the sensory organs to perceive them. Hm.
