    Default Fire Shurmur!

Sorry it took me so long to get this posted guys!

So, I figured I'd beat Cugel to the punch: Elway is set to hire Shurmur so therefore it MUST be a mistake.

Let's just go ahead and fire him before he moves in so he doesn't waste money on a deposit, etc.

Apparently Shurmur doesn’t know how bad JFE is at life, he would’ve never taken this job.

Shurmur is a long time, family friend of Joe Ellis.

Interesting. I was wondering what his connection to the Broncos was.

If we fire Shurmur before the season we could go for our 6th OC in 5 years.

Is he really? I figured T was pulling Jaded's leg.

Hopefully this one sticks for a few years. Team needs some continuity.

We should fire him for tricking Elway and Kubiak into thinking Case Keenum was a good QB....
    Denver's 2024 George Paton Draft/FA plan

    Draft
    RD1- TE Brock Bowers, GA
    RD3- QB Spencer Rattler, SC
    RD4- CB Josh Newton, TCU
    RD5- S Reggie Pearson, OK
RD5- C Michael Jurgens, Wake Forest
RD6- K Jonah Dalmas, Boise St

    FA

Idiot. I'm not against Shurmer. Reportedly, the reason Shurmer wanted the job because he wants to work with Lock. He scouted Lock extensively during the draft and was a voice inside the Giants front office preferring Lock to Jones.

So, they got rid of Scangerello? So what? Was he awesome? No. He was an Elway selection, who was basically forced on Fangio as a first time coach, and now Fangio gets to pick his own OC.

This is Fangio's decision, not Elway's.

I'd say that's a good thing. Admittedly, its 5 coordinators in 6 years, but they obviously think they can be better than the play-calling they had this season. I'd say they're right.

Obviously, changing the OC isn't going to be the answer. Getting better players is the answer.

So, is this an upgrade? Yes, on paper. It's potentially a good thing to have a more experienced OC.

I was never one who thought that the problem with the Broncos was their OC to begin with.

He's not an idiot. Davii is predicting and I would say with 100% accuracy where you'll be should the offense not light it up immediately. Then you'll tell us how you were always against bringing in Shurmur. Oh for the sake of your next reply the coffee smiley is to follow.
