One of the most dramatic and electrifying sports memories of my life.

I don't care what you think about Tebow that was one of the most exciting moments in Broncos history. I'll never forget that game.

Wire and I were in the south stands with DT running towards us, it was awesome. The OT rules were new, so while I knew that ended it (being a rule freak and all round freak), there was confusion in the stands and field about whether the game was over.

Prior to that, the Broncos had blown the lead and I was feeling pretty bummed.

I would. Tebow was so not ready for prime time it's not even current SNL funny. The only reason the Broncos got to the playoffs was that opposing DCs gave Tebow the leniency to work his college magic in the NFL when the game was on the line late in the fourth. Belicheat showed the NFL how to play Tebow and the Squeelers didn't pay attention.

The ONLY good about Tebow was that he was not the mind-numbing mediocrity of Orton.

If PFM wasnt available he woulda been the Starter in 2012. Its not like there were a lot of other options.

I'm not saying we had other options. Orton was just so mind-numbingly horrible! Once we were down by 2 scores Orton mailed it in. At least Tebow had some passion.

It's just so depressingly sad that Tebow was essentially our only option that year. Nearly a decade later I'm still utterly amazed that opposing DCs changed their defense in the fourth quarter just because the game was close. The defense they had used all game long worked just fine; but changed it they did which actually allowed Tebow to be more successful. In the end there were enough of those games for the Broncos to surprise the Squeelers.

It was fun to watch, but depressing that there were 4 or 5 DCs in the NFL that out-coached themselves!

Agreed, but you gotta give credit to opposing DCs making it so. If they hadn't gotten sceered by Tebow there'd have been more games like the two against NE (which were the worst of that season).

FWIW - '77 was the most exciting Broncos season.

The most exciting time for me as a Bronco fan was our back to back SB Championships. Nothing tops it for me.
