    Default Draft Flexibility

Doing the offseason thing and looking at our plethora of draft stock, I was fired up to see the flexibility Elway has brought to this draft.

The 3 third round picks are going to be huge if we do it right.

Nfl trade value chart says with the last third rounder, we can move up to the second pick in round two...still leaving us with the two best third rounders.

If we use the second of our third rounders, the one we got from Pittsburg, we can move back into the bottom of the first round.

If we use two of our third rounder with our second rounder, we can get back to the 21st pick, 6 slots behind our number 15. There is going to be a very good player there. Philadelphia picks there and they need a ton of help.

In the first round, we have the flexibility to move from 15 to anywhere on the board up to the 4th pick without using next years picks.

A swap of all three third rounders would bring us the 8th pick in round 2. That would be two 2nd rounders in the top 14 to go along with our 1st. Still leaving us two fourth rounders which we can also use to move back up.

7 picks in the top four rounds. 5 in the top 100 picks.

So instead of the normal pick in each round, bringing 7 draft picks.........we get 1 first, 1 second, 3 thirds, 2 fourths, a sixth and a seventh.............before we get our allotted comp picks, of which we are supposed to get 2 more one in 6, one in 7, with the probability of 1 or 2 more 7th rounders from Brock and Marshall.

So we could be looking at a total of up to 14 selections.

Now I dont see how we use all 14 if we get them, because we will end up cutting draft picks at the beginning of next season more than likely, so I think we will have a lot of movement.

Would anyone mind coming out of the draft with two first rounders, and 7 other selections?

Or how about our first, a pick at the top of round 2, another 2nd rounder, and 11 other draft selections?

There is a bounty of possibilities.....thank you Duke.

I just may go to Vegas to watch this.
    IN PATON I TRUST.

Just think how much flexibility y’all would have if it wasn’t for all those “Wins”.

Well, McDaniels had a lot better draft capital than this and wound up with a bunch of stiffs like Darcel McBath, so it's no perfect scenario, but it's nice to see the Broncos with some draft capital to move around.

They’d been much better off had they let the Goodman’s do their job.

    Thanks Joe Ellis.

On a lighter note: my sons have friends over playing board games and I just destroyed the downstairs bathroom.
