That's exactly how I feel. Some of those instances were due to bad calls, which happen but it's bad luck to get that many at the end of the game. And, with Chubb back and Von healthier, it's hard to think we won't have some improvement, too. We're not sending out a top three elite defense next season, but it's going to be a stout unit.

It needs CBs. We need 2 with or without Harris.

It also needs a DE that will collapse.

It also needs one more rangy LB (I think we can get one in the mid rounfds)
    The Plan at the moment:

Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).

    Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell

Okudah, Hall, Jackson are certainly some of the CB's Denver can look at. LB is definitely a big need as we cant cover a TE to save our life right now.

If he slips to 10 we trade up! If he slips anywhere within striking distance we trade up.

When it comes to drafting someone who comes in and starts right away, Id say we would take a WR. Courtland at 1, Hamilton in the slot...I think the talent in the first round would come in and take Patricks spot.

Also, Todd Davis to me can be improved. We need someone who can play run D and cover TEs. While many tout Isaiah Simmons as going top ten, I think he may slip a little.

And with all our picks, I think we can get an olineman to come in right away. If we can hit another Risner that would be awesome.

I also think we could pick up corner, safety or DL to come in right away depending on who we sign in FAgency.

I have a lil more confidence going into next year only because there is an answer at QB. The major hurdle is over.

I agree but there will still be some major growing pains. He still needs to do a better job of reading defenses and getting us out of bad plays. But he should be our new Cutler, for better or worse.

Leatherwood is going back to Bama, people might wanna start making their peace with Bolles. I don’t see a lot of upgrades within reach for Denver, if any, too many needy teams in front of Denver ... it’s gonna be the premium position in Top 15, imo.

    Draft
    1st round— Cooper Dejean CB
    2nd round— Jack Sawyer OLB
    3rd round— Will Shipley RB
    4th round— Ricky Pearsall WR
    5th round— Ladd McKonkey WR
    6th round— Cash Jones RB
    7th round— Carson Steele RB

Well, with Lock as our QB Bolles looked solid. And the penalties at the end of the year against Bolles were b.s. i refuse to not be optimistic.
