ESPN put out their first FPI projections for the season. One note for us - we're projected to have the hardest schedule in the league:
https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/...raft-spot-moreThough FPI is heavily reliant on preseason win totals, it teases out team ratings and therefore can calculate schedule strength without really running into any of those problems. And it says the Denver Broncos have the toughest schedule in the league, while the Colts have the easiest. The Broncos have five games against top-10 FPI teams: two against the Chiefs, one against the Bucs, one on the road at the Patriots and one against the Saints. The Colts have only one such game, at home against the Ravens in Week 9.
- John Elway“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”
It makes complete sense. It’s our year to play the NFC South which has two of the greatest 5 quarterbacks to ever play the game and two dates with the team the simulator says has the best chance to win the Super Bowl. 1/4 of the games in the sims top 10 to win the Super Bowl makes perfect sense.
So I guess the question is; what is Lock going to do to help develop Case Rypien?

Things are moving forward for Lock and the guys.
https://broncoswire.usatoday.com/202...ayers-at-park/*SNIP* David Price, a Broncos fan, stumbled upon Lock and some teammates working out at a Denver area park on Wednesday. He shared two photos of the unofficial practices on his Twitter page, @HustlerCar.
“Drew Lock was throwing on target and accurate BOMBS!” Price wrote. “Phillip Lindsey ran like a thoroughbred racehorse! Was cutting corners & stopping on a dime! Great shape!”
Judging from the photos Price shared on Twitter, it appears that at least 10 of Lock’s teammates joined him (possibly more).
These workout sessions will help the team get prepared for a potential June minicamp and training camp in July. It’s great to see Lock showing leadership and getting teammates together months before camp.
