Competitive fire as far as winning games? Certainly not. Competitive fire as far as putting up good tape to hit market again as a nickel corner ala Charles Woodson? Certainly. He can definitely put up some really good tape with the supporting cast of the Chargers. The Loser Raiders? No chance.
So to this point, we’ve tagged Simmons, traded for Bouye, signed Glasgow, traded for Casey, signed Driskell, tendered Purcell at a level he won’t likely get away, and re-signed Bausby. Dang, it’s looking pretty good so far. I didn’t want to lose CHJ but I knew it was probable but other than that it really seems to be going well for Elway and the FO. Got the top available guard, missed out on the top available DT, but traded for one just as good if not better with less guaranteed $ left and helped keep the secondary strong.
Well done so far, John. I don’t know if there are many other moves to make before the draft, but I’d be okay if this is FA. No bad trades, no ridiculous overpayments on risky contracts and players. Let’s go in and crush the draft and get back to winning!

I just read that players that win their division and go on to win the SB will make an extra $300.000.

1. With what money
Its been a pretty Strong start so far for sure....Some concern still a small concern at CB, not to mention we need C, WR and ILB help but the draft can help with that. It would be cool to bring Wolfe back to but not so sure after the Casey pick up which was massive get for this team at such a cheap cost.....
I like what we have done.....Im fine losing Chris....he really didnt play that well the last 2 years, he was a beast for the most part here, but it was time to move on the war orf words was just dumb...Elway still offered him more money then he got with the chargers. Seems other teams didnt feel top CB money was warranted either....

Broncos just informed former Super-Bowl MVP Joe Flacco that he is being waived with a failed physical designation, per source.
Flacco now joins a group of free-agent QBs looking for work.
Three Super Bowl MVPs in headlines this week: Flacco waived, Foles traded, TB to TB.

Flacco did not require neck surgery and belief is he will be healthy for 2020 season. He was 2-6 in 8 starts, but could have been 5-3 had D held in final drive of 3 losses.
Flacco simply got Wally Pipp'd 2nd year in row as Drew Lock played well late and its his team now. #9sports

Joe Flacco had 2 medical opinions on MRI exam of neck. He's been in Baltimore-area home and hasn't been checked out by Broncos medical team since season's end, at least not in person. But w/no more money guaranteed in contract. Broncos able to release him. #9sports
