Of that list, I like Drake best, but I'd much rather pay to fix holes pretty much anywhere else on the roster with that $$.

You guys keep saying Easily. It is not easy for the broncos!!

We say that but we have sucked ass at drafting RBs. Montee, Hillman, Booker, Freeman, the guy we drafted ahead of lindsey? Whatever his name was. Kerri williams or something. We suck at drafting RBs. Our only good one is a UDFA. Theo Riddick is nice, but he is a pass catcher only.

As for Melvin, I know, I have had him and eckler in my keeper league. I watch a lot of them. Melvin has two things that we do not have. Speed and size on the same RB. He may be average, but we have like 80 million. He is not going to break the bank. All of our backs have lacked speed, or lacked size. Melvin has both. I am not saying pay him 15 mil a year, but we can easily afford him.

I agree RB is not a huge concern and there are plenty out there. He is the one I like best, however. He has all the tools. He has had a worse Oline then we have.
    The Plan at the moment:

Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).

    Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell

I will never understand the fascination with Riddick. Booker and Riddick are basically the same player. We’ve been over this.
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

Default Broncos could look at running back position in free agency

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — If a strong running game is a best friend to any quarterback, what does it mean to a young, relatively inexperienced quarterback?

    How about, imperative. Absolutely necessary.

The Broncos are going forward with Drew Lock and his five career NFL starts as their quarterback this season and it follows that an upgraded running game would aid his development.

The Broncos are doing their due diligence on the potential free-agent crop of running backs, sources tell 9NEWS.

Adding another running back would not preclude Phillip Lindsay -- the undrafted former Colorado Buffalo star who has back-to-back, 1,000-yard seasons to start his Broncos’ career – from his prominent role.

Breaking: Broncos are in process of acquiring CB A.J. Bouye in trade from Jacksonville per sources. He has $13.4375 million (2020) and $13.5M (2021) left on his contract. For now Broncos will honor that deal. #9sports

The Broncos and Jaguars have agreed on a trade that would send cornerback A.J. Bouye to Denver for a 2020 fourth-round pick, league sources tell ESPN.

The trade cannot be processed until the new league year begins March 18th.

oh snap, for a 4th round pick? score!
“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”

Broncos give up SF's 4th round pick (No. 127) for A.J. Bouye per source. That was Emmanuel pick. Plus one more third-round pick from Sanders' deal coming. Nice value. This does reduce chances of Chris Harris Jr. returning. His dollars would have to deflate

An interesting note. The Broncos No Fly Zone really thought very highly of A.J. Bouye a few years back before Bouye broke out in Houston. Aqib Talib, who worked out with Bouye, actually predicted he was going to blow up and he did exactly that.

After trade for A.J. Bouye (the Broncos traded one of their two fourth-round picks) -- the Broncos still have eight picks (1,2,3,3,3,4,6,7) and are projected to get three compensatory picks. So, they should have 11 picks after the compensatory picks are announced by league.

A little movement for the team.

The Broncos have released defensive lineman Billy Winn and waived cornerback Horace Richardson, the team announced Thursday.
