Rock? Sock? Mock, in time for Draft? Stock, as in investing? Dock, as in boating? What?

Will be interesting to see where it ends up this year.

Per a source with knowledge of the situation, the new CBA currently is expected instantly increase the $200 million cap for 2020 by anywhere from $3 million to $5 million per team. That’s an estimate for now, with the final amount being negotiable — as the salary cap always is.

Again, these are estimates for now. The minimum, however, will be $200 million. The only question is the extent to which that number will go up, if the players ratify a new labor deal before March 18. That answer will be resolved, as it always is, via talks between the league and the union.

It would be SO great if they could settle up the CBA prior to the Season

I don’t think there’s going to be any strikes. They seem relatively close on negotiations.
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

It’s the NFLPA that doesn’t give two shits about the rank and file, year after year they’re pushing players to reset the market for every player that can ... meanwhile the rank and file salary structure goes mostly unchanged.

This is how Kirk cousins ends up being the highest paid player in the league and there’s no middle tier on the QB pay scale.

According to this article, the Broncos are eyeing top free agent running backs Derrick Henry, Kenyan Drake, Melvin Gordon, Carlos Hyde and Jordan Howard.

    https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...running-backs/

I would be interested in hearing your thoughts on whether the Broncos should and/or will attempt to sign one of the top free agent running backs, and if so, which one(s). IMHO, I don't believe that Melvin Gordon would be a good fit or signing for the Broncos. Like pretty much everyone else, I thing that Derrick Henry would probably be the best, but don't know enough about his playing history (e.g. number of years in league, runs per year, injuries sustained, etc.) to project whether he should be a good long-term signing or is likely to rapidly decline during the course of the next few seasons.

    Thoughts?
Too bad she doesn't cheer for the Patriots dressed like this

Henry seems like he'd be too much money. Maybe Drake?

    Gordon is a great fit.
Henry needs excellent blocking to build a head of steam. We do not have that. pass.
Kenyon has the speed we need at RB with a bigger body. He would be a good fit here.
Jordan Howard is Royce Freeman. pass.
Carlos Hyde- I always liked him in the ZBS, I thought he would do well here. NOw that we are switching out of that I am not sure about him. Hes a eh if cheap kinda guy for me.
    The Plan at the moment:

Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).

    Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell

Gordon was so incredibly average after his holdout last year. There's just no reason why we should pay a guy when we could easily find that production elsewhere. Lindsay is already a good change of pace back, Freeman has some power -- RB is the least of my concerns - we should throw a late round pick at it or scour the waiver wire.

Of that list, I like Drake best, but I'd much rather pay to fix holes pretty much anywhere else on the roster with that $$.

seriously. . . signing a RB in free agency is just a dumb use of resources. . . easiest position to draft, easiest position to develop, and it doesn't require a high pick to find talent. . .
“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”

Cut Theo Riddick and Booker right now if Den is seriously looking at the backfield.
