Default 2020 NFL Free Agent Thread

We have a 2020 NFL draft thread that has some solid legs. I would like to start the 2020 NFL FA thread. We have a lot of holes coming up in 2020, some players its good they are leaving others not so much....The cost for some of our own FA's is going to be substantial. John has his work cut out for him.

Sportrac is currently a good place for tracking around the NFL, See below

    https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/free-age...enver-broncos/

Below is who I expect back-

UFA's Expected back- Shelby Harris, Justin Simmons, Casey Krieter, Jeremiah Attachou
RFA's Expected back- Devonate Baubsy, Elijah Wilkinson, Tim Patrick, Mike Purcell and Kyle Peko
ERFA expected back- Davontae Harris, Trey Marshall, Diontae spencer

I expect Von to have his option picked up and Leary's not.

Feel free to discuss everything FA related in this thread lets keep this and the draft thread rolling hot.

We should probably use the 70 mil for our own FA's that make sense (Shelby Harris, Simmons) then go after a CB Like Jones or Bradberry and #2 WR like Robby Anderson. I jut don't expect guys like Harris, Wolfe and even parks to be back.....

I wonder what Flacco's FA options will be...

I'm not so sure he will have much other than a backup job. Elway would be stupid to keep him here. The fan base would revolt if he was given his job back over Lock. However We suck at making the right call at QB for the most part so it wouldn't shock me if they ask him to restructure to back up Lock either.....The smart thing would be to let Flacco leave....Allen could be pretty cheap for a number 2 vs what we would have to pay in FA.....

Most are but I was also under the belief that when we moved on from Keenum we wouldn't bring a below average QB in to replace him.....nothing should come as a shock to the fanbase with regards to QB's anymore.....

I wouldn’t be surprise if either Harris or Simmons are allowed to walk. Harris is looking around $12M and Simmons around $13 t o $14M. Is Denver going to have $30M locked up in Safeties.
"We saw it…. the hussars let loose their horses. God, what power! They ran through the smoke and the sound was like that of a thousand blacksmiths beating with a thousand hammers

They rush on to the Swedes! They crash into the Swedish riters…. Overwhelm them! They crash into the second regiment - Overwhelmed! Resistance collapses, dissolves, they move forward as easily as if they were parading on a grand boulevard

I think Harris is done in Denver. He’s lost a step and a half this year. Denver should pay Simmons.

Jones and Peters are the most likely CB’s to hit open market, make mine Peters ... he’s a douchebag but he’s the far better player. Plus, coming back to bite the Chefs would be motivating factor for him.

Kyle Peko, he’s like herpies , but less useful.

I was talking about S. Harris not Chris Harris

Chris Harris is now at the point in his career where he's only functional/good if the team he's on has an above average or better pass rush. I am convinced bringing him back wouldn't be a disaster, but it's certainly not mandatory. If we let him walk, then we'll have some more growing pains in the secondary. It is what it is.

It does feel like we have to pay Simmons.

Regarding Von Miller - it's better to let go of a player a season too soon than a season too late. We drafted Chubb as a luxury, and it's good that we did.

Von's production is nowhere near his contract. I'll miss him, I love him. But business is business.

I’d disagree on Von, but I’m to the point that if this is how they’re gonna use him then something has gotta give ... it isn’t working and that’s not on Von.
