Rookie QB Brett Rypien is heading into Broncos headquarters to sign back with practice squad. Broncos keep their QB depth behind Drew Lock. #9sports

Derek Wolfe optimistic of recovery after tests confirmed season-ending elbow injury
Wolfe: "No surgery. They told me it could have been a lot worse." Dislocation occurred on play that should have been blown dead earlier.

Completing Wolfe thought on Fangio system: “It’s not just creating plays for other people. Multiple people have a chance to make a play. It’s whichever one gets there first. I’ve said from the beginning I felt like I was made for this defense.” #9sports

Wolfe: No coincidence his best year came in Fangio's first: “I think his system has a lot to do with it. He puts you in position to go make a play. Winning your 1-on-1 is big. It’s not just creating plays for other people. Multiple people have a chance to make a play.'' #9sports

Wolfe's 7.0 sacks thru 12 games already best among his 8 seasons w/Broncos. FA awaits but there is hope he gets couple more here: “Me, too, man,'' he said. "I really do. I don’t want to leave.” #9sports

Derek Wolfe bummed about elbow last night but already shifted to positive mindset today:
“It’s a typical dislocation. Similar to Jano’s. It’s a six to eight week injury. No surgery. I should get all my range of motion back. They told me it could have been a lot worse.” #9sports

Fangio in DaeSean Hamilton: “He’s got to overcome that (4thQ) drop. He can’t have a hangover. Has to acknowledge he dropped it and move on.” #9sports

Maybe coat your stomach before reading this: Wolfe said medical team tried to pop his dislocated elbow back in on field but it wouldn’t go in. Had to go inside and they popped it in there. Overall, similar to Andy Janovich dislocated elbow injury a few weeks back. #9sports

6 defensive players played all 66 snaps: Justin Simmons, Kareem Jackson, Isaac Yiadom, Chris Harris, Todd Davis, Alexander Johnson. Johnson out on 4th-and-1 with 2:22 left, went back in after penalty for 4th-and-6 which became 4th-and-11 then Rivers-Williams. For naught. #9sports

By the way, no sacks for Bosa or Ingram. No sacks period for Chargers on Drew Lock, who moves well in pocket.
Broncos had just three penalties for 25 yards -- 0 for 0 in second half.
Give Garett Bolles credit. He played well. #9sports

Buffalo wants stats and evidence to back up this alleged reason for him not skipping off the field like an excited school girl.

Can #Broncos @DrewLock23 rev up offense in second half? And @Derek_Wolfe95's terrific season is over. He told #Denver7, "I'd hate for that to be my last game as a Bronco. That would break my heart." http://bit.ly/2P5lvin

I'm a realist, Wolfe has had a good year, and that's a tough break for him going into FA with how fickle Elway is with his own players vs other FA's. If walker shows out these next few games, I don't expect Wolfe back unless its team friendly....I also Am curious if DreMont Jones shows out.....If that happens then I think they will only keep 1 between Wolfe, Harris and Gotsis. You could make a case for Harris and Wolfe but not Gotsis. Odds are john will go with the cheapest options for the team.....
Flacco proved me right so....In Lock I trust!

2020 Draft 1st rd. Draft wants

OLB- Chase Young (umm is he still going rd 1 now lol)

Walker and Jones are keepers, the NT too.

Denver could big investors in DL, I would move on from Wolfe though.

Keep showing what he’s showing, calm/cool/collected, pocket awareness, accuracy (needs to settle the early gitters) and red zone efficiency.

Just so y’all know those close calls will turn into Int’s sooner or later.

No more than two or three INTs more than TDs. 60% for completions. A handful of big passing plays, even if they're dropped we just need to see him hold up HIS end of the bargain. Solid ability to deal with the pass rush. A continuation of different arm angles on passes without the screwups that come with them -sliding scale grade of course- and good energy.

I do feel a little ridiculous for criticizing him THIS week when he has this legitimately shitty injury...

I've been having this thought about him for years that he reminds me of a kid on my hockey team who would lay there injured at least once per game -- so it created this "boy who cried wolf" scenario where you could never tell if he was legitimately hurt because he was always being dramatic about it...

Anyway, I'll take the L on this one.
