I don't feel like they really let him play past the first 15 scripted plays and the deep shot at the end. I would bet most of his wristband were run plays and screens.

Question about the end of the 1st half. If the kick was short and a SD player caught the ball is it live? As in run it back for a TD?

Yes, but that is only if they run it back for a TD. Its actually no worse than a punt or pass to the endzone that ends in a INT. Its why McManus was so upset.

This shouldn't be a learning exorcise for Scangs, which feels exactly that. This one is on Elway/Ellis for hiring Scangs as their OC. I don't know what could possibly possess you to hire someone with a pretty insignificant resume.

I have no reason to believe the remaining games in the season Scangs will magically figure it out. You've gotta nip this in the bud this off-season and let him go. Elway can't be stubborn here and let this drag out for another few years. The Broncos aren't a team you go to learn how to become an OC and figure out what plays work and don't.
