The guy in cugels post is saying Elway shouldn't be allowed to make any moves because wed have 13.5 in dead cap space....

My point is, Flacco's had an 18 mil cap hit. If we didnt restructure wed have a 0 cap hit next year for him. This guy thinks the restructure was a dumb move because the 13 hit next year. What hes missing is we only paid Flacco 4 mil this year. So restructure or not, it's the same 18 mil. Which makes his statement completely irrelevant. That's all. Just dumb lazy work imo

Happy Thanksgiving mo. Hope it was a nice day for you.
    The Plan at the moment:

Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).

    Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell

You have a good Thanksgiving UR? Thought about giving you a ring to see if you had plans but you always got something social lined up...

Except that’s not what he’s saying at all. He’s saying his previous decisions on quarterbacks have left the team with dead space and that makes him question whether he’s the right guy to make those decisions in the future. Not that he physically can’t make the moves because of dead cap space.

It was OK. Weather screwed with the plans. Hope yours was alright.

I did! I'm up in Montrose w my gf and son, and her whole family. About 20 people. Been here since Tuesday evening. The two foods I made were a big hit. That was nice. It's been a good time. Thanks gents.

This is always my favorite holiday, despite being so close to when my mom passed. Great day!

Montrose is such a nice area--did y'all get hammered by the snow?

Did somebody hit you on the head much as a child?

The proof of how bad you are is the league standings. The fact that the Broncos are drafting 5th is proof of just how miserable the season has been since draft order is inverse to success.

That is all. Do try to keep up.

They moved the cap hit from 2019 to 2020. It's true it's the same $18m. But, it does matter quite a lot actually.

Every team would do this all the time, reducing the cap hit in year 1 and shifting it to years 2 and 3, except for one thing. What happens when, like Joe Flacco, you suck and the team wants to get rid of you in year two?

Then they are stuck with a $13.4 million dead-cap hit for a player who is no longer on the roster. That damages your ability to sign your players NEXT year because you have less cap room, so it does matter.

You well actually’d a subjective power ranking that had nothing to do with draft status with draft status before the season is even close to done. I’ve kept up just fine, and your post was quite idiotic.
