Lock will be starting. I guess I’m gonna have to beg for a stream for this game.
Lock will be starting. I guess I’m gonna have to beg for a stream for this game.
Why was there ANY resistance at all to get Lock off of IR back in October when he was first healthy?
Why did they waste so much time after the team was effectively eliminated from the playoffs long ago?
Why didn't they just name him a starter immediately?
"He's not ready"? Seriously? That's total lies and nonsense! Of COURSE he's "not ready"! That's the POINT! To GET him ready!
Lamar Jackson was terrible in his first games last year. He couldn't throw an accurate forward pass to save his life, they had to eliminate most of the playbook and insert some simple RPO plays he was familiar with from college, and now look at him. He's the probable NFL MVP!
Lock could be horrible in his first start and it wouldn't matter at all. The B.S. about him "not being ready" is just that! B.S. It's a paper thin excuse.
Pretty obviously Fangio never wanted Drew Lock to play and preferred to start a veteran -- any veteran. He never said a good word about Lock for weeks while praising Brandon Allen.
He said it "wasn't important" to get Lock ready, wasn't important to get him off IR, wasn't important to see what they have in him.
Why even did they wait till Friday to name Lock if he's starting?
Why is Branden Allen even getting ANY first team reps if Lock is starting? Why waste the reps?
None of this makes any sense.
Clearly Elway wants to see Lock just like he kept wanting to see Paxton while VJ kept wanting to start Trevor, and Fangio and he had "discussions" in which Elway is getting his way.
Why if this isn't true were there any "internal discussions" about any of this.
It's been blindingly obvious for about 2 months now that they have to start Lock -- so why all the foot dragging and nonsense about "he's not ready?" Of course not! That's the point!
Guys! Lock is not going to be "ruined" if he's sacked a bunch. And it's not like they have to run the same 5 and 7 step drops all the time. They can get him out in space, keep him in the shotgun most of the time, run the hell out of the ball. Give him nice easy throws and plays he feels comfortable with. He doesn't have to run the entire playbook to be "ready."
You all need to stop taking every bit on spin coming out of Dove Valley as though it was the truth. They have internal dissension inside the building.
Elway is being forced by circumstances to play Lock by the failure and injury of Flacco, the losses piling up to 8 eliminating any chance at a winning season, and the failure of any possible alternative in Brandon Allen.
They resisted this obvious move as hard and as long as they possibly could. They are still resisting, wasting a bunch of reps on Brandon Allen even though he's a scrub and should never start another NFL game!
We will see a shit ton of this on Sunday and we will unite as one. Lock it down mother******s.
Drew's Clues puzzle not solved yet, but all signs point toward Lock starting
