Ja’Wuan James and Jeff Heuerman are both “questionable” and “50-50,” Fangio said

Fangio said a couple of players last week asked him to move up practice times, so they’re trying that this week
Mike Klis @MikeKlis 11m
McGovern, Risner, Leary, Patrick among those not practicing today. #9sports

Fangio said Ja’Wuan James will play eventually. Could be this week. Could be next week.

Fangio: Front office and coaching staff “are on the same page” with Lock

#Broncos Fangio on Drew Lock. He’s not worried about him getting overwhelmed. But has to be ready. I asked him about it being equivalent of September callup in baseball. He disagreed. Saying once QB is in, he’s in. Not just a part-timer #Denver7
I don’t know whether to laugh or cry at the Lock stuff
dogfish, Hawgdriver, LawDog, Slick, slim
And there it is. You knew this moment was coming. They were building up to it. He’s not healthy. He’s not mentally ready. It’s not vitally important he plays.Fangio: “I don’t think it’s vitally important” to get Drew Lock playing time this year

The plan with Lock was always to practice him for 2-3 weeks after bringing him off of IR and play him at the end of that window. That's still what's going to happen. We get worked up every week but nothing has really changed.
The good news is once he plays he is our QBoTF! So hopefully he plays this year. That means he is in. That means no more flacco. That means with our top 10 pick we can look at LT, DB, DL, WR and follow that up with its compliment in the early 2nd round- unless Tua falls that far. But would Elway want another QB controversy? I say he would not. This however, I think would be the right move.
The Plan at the moment:
Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).
Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell
Same old Elway bullshit out of Dove Valley. "It's not vitally important" to find out whether you have a future franchise QB in Drew Lock or not!Andrew Mason @MaseDenver 11m

So, they go into next season not knowing anything and it's just a wasted year!
This is even more evidence that they are planning on Round 2 of the "Joe Flacco is in his prime!" crap next season.
Anyone else a little confused by Fangio’s comments on Drew Lock? Are his hot and cold statements meant to push Lock to keep getting better? Or does he just not want to play him this season? If not, why? Is Drew really that far behind in learning this offense? Do they really have a plan in place to develop him or are they going to mishandle Drew 1similar to Lynch?
