More and more mocks showing Jordan Love going in the top 12. Great news for our chances of getting an OT. And our pick of WR. Still think it’s very likely we pick a corner if we stay at 15.

Speaking of Picking 15th, just a friendly reminder that the “wins” vs Detroit and Oakland dropped Denver from the 5th to 15th pick. Yay winning!

I’m just gonna leave this here and remind you that the Oakland game alone would’ve put Denver ahead of the Bucs, Falcons, Raiders, Colts and Jets.

I know but you hated us winning games but that just isnt the reality of what football teams do no matter how bad/good they might be. While ideally it would have been better to have a higher pick you just cant go into those games with the mindset of losing for draft position. You have to at least try and win ballgames and frankly i was pretty happy that we went 4-1 down the stretch with Lock because had we lost out we might be looking at drafting some scrub QB in the first not named Burrow.
I would agree. At the moment, the only one that makes sense is Wirfs, due to his flexibility. If Bolles continues to improve and James stays healthy, then you can play Wirfs at guard with Glasgow at center. Or, Wirfs can transition if either tackle fails...but expectations would have to be low if he is expected to jump in at left tackle.
We havent seen what any of LT's have done at the pro level so i dont think we can make that determination on them. Bolles has been with us for a couple of years so we know where he is as a player. I get that you love Ruggs and all but he wont do shit in year one either especially when Lock ends up on IR or the offense is going backwards because of penalties that your boy Bolles keeps making game to game. I would rather take the chance drafting Oline with the possibility of that person playing better than to go back to Bolles who hasnt shown any improvement over the last couple of years.
I dont know why people think drafting a WR in the first is going to somehow solve our Oline issues. It simply wont.
I think people look at a number of things to make that determination. 1. We can choose to ignore it all we want, but Bolles DID improve at the end of the season. It's likely that having Lock under center helped that, but...it happens. 2. Bolles doesn't give up a ton of sacks. His biggest issue is holding penalties, so Lock "getting killed" isn't a warranted issue. Which brings me to point #3. In the 5 games Lock played in, he had barely any snaps from James, none from Leary, and even some time without Risner. Which at times left him with a line of Bolles, McGovern, Wilkinson, Schlottman, etc. And in 5 games...he was still only sacked 5 times. In fact, there were 2 games where he wasn't sacked at all. So, yes...having a QB that isn't a statue helps.
Now...whether the Broncos brass sees it that way is a whole different question. But, if they do, then additional weapons should be a priority. So, it all just comes down to personal preference based on information rather than hatred for one player. It's a guessing game for fans until Elway turns in the card. But an argument can be made for either position
