Exactly what I was thinking. Nobody in the universe, outside of Brandon Allen's mom has ever thought that he is a "future franchise QB." Drew Lock MIGHT be a future franchise QB. But, we can't commit to him because he doesn't give us the best chance to "win now!"

But, Elway already has his "future franchise QB" in Joe Flacco. And he's always trying to "win now!" even when that is unspeakably short-sighted because they're going nowhere and any fan can see it.

So, what would Brandon Allen winning a couple of meaningless games do for them? Give them the delusion that "hey! We might have something here! Let's set up a competition for the backup QB role for next season between Brandon Allen and Drew Lock to see who gets to backup Joe Flacco! It's Paxton v. Trevor Part II!"

I hate Joe Flacco on this board more then anyone....and this was before a lot of you all hopped on the Flacco sucks bandwagon.......However if Joe flacco is trotted back out there, while I will be very pissed at Elway, I will also hope we succeed as a franchise still. If it ends in failure it will suck and hurt and hopefully Elway is held accountable, but ultimately its out of my singular control short of not paying for games or going to them.....

I will congratulate the guy for giving us a W, while silently being upset our draft position is sliding, and the Lock era will be pushed back. I have zero faith in Allen as a franchise QB, doesn't mean I wont be glad we won a football game...Lets be real as fans we have our opinions all day long about a variety of topics, but as NFL players and coaches their job is to win football games not play for draft position.....I wont hate them if that happens....but i will have my opinion as well lol
