I just got the Samsung S20 a month ago. Love it so far. The no phone jack with these current high cost phones is ******* stupid though. I can have the same phone for 4+ years. This was the first phone I have ever bought that was higher than $350. I don't know that it was worth it's $900 price tag, but then again, I'm not a tech junkie.

I have never owned an Apple anything. I laugh at all the morons in their store at the mall and in lines to buy the next phone when they haven't even paid off the last one.

My brand new iPhone was cheaper than your brand new Samsung!

What I can't understand is why my new phone came with earphones (not airpods) in the box. As if I can even plug them into the phone. Dumb.

It's not like it's the end of the world because I never use earphones and I can't think of any reason why I would use the headphone jack...but still.

I got the SE as well -- you'll notice the headphone connector at the end of the cord is the same adapter as the charger, not a traditional headphone jack. So you can plug them in. But I agree it's dumb that they're trying to phase out headphone with cords but apparently too cheap to include the air pods as standard. I'd previously received air pods as a gift so I kind of lucked out there.

I qualify for a "free" iPhone 13 by trading my iPhone 8 which is in excellent condition in. I have AT&T but it's ridiculous how much a family plan is. I've been contemplating Verizon for best coverage I think, Sprint doesn't have a very good coverage where I live.
Who you have as your phone carrier?

Okay, good question. I'm in the market for an upgrade but I'm undecided.

I hate Google and their invasions of privacy but they have great battery life. Apple has a repair con game going on where they grossly overestimate repair price to manipulate into buying a new phone or computer.

So I'm stuck. Also I'm not sure if the reception of both brands. Something with good reception in interior areas away from windows in a place like ACC? My current does quite well most times. I'd like to retain that. It's a Droid.

Your reception is more a function of your chosen carrier than phone. To be Frank: hardware wise the top level phones are all the same. There is no quality difference between the top iPhone or Samsung models, etc. The difference is the UI, if you like Android I’d recommend sticking with it. If you like Apple stick with that.

I’m six months into the switch and there are features I miss on my android but if I were to go back there’s features I’d miss on the iPhone as well.

My battery life on my iPhone is better than it was with the Note 20. I also feel Apple does a better job of protecting my privacy. Whether that is fluff and bs from Apple I don’t know but I do like how I get specifically asked with every single app whether I want it to allow tracking me, sharing data, etc. of course you get the questions on android for mic, camera, etc and you get that with apple as well but I don’t recall ever having privacy questions asked on an app from Play store

I'm a One+ lifer. I have tried many different phones but have come to the realization that One+ is my brand. I just get along with them better, I think it's just so subjective. People rave about Samsung but I hated the last two of them I tried.

We have Jump on Demand through T-Mobile so I have been able to try a shit ton of phones as long as they are under $800 it doesn't cost me any extra than just the monthly payment which for most phones I've tried is around $25/month.

Possibly I'd like the higher end phones better but I don't want to spend $250-500 cash out of pocket to find out.

You’d probably be very happy with the higher end phones. 250-500 worth of happy? Probably not, all depends on your needs and uses

I need to get a phone with a killer camera. I'm debating Pixel or Samsung. Battery life has been the sole priority to this point.

My wife has the newest Samsung, I have the newest iPhone. I don’t see any separation camera wise between the two

I just got the S22 Ultra last week. Love it!

As with most phones I cannot really tell the difference between any of them. I am hard on my phones though. Battery passes the test. its fast. Has tons of features I do not know yet. Its fast enough to compute my work stuff while on work calls without chop or delay or lag on the processing. Is it a million times better than my old galaxy note 9? Maybe. I have no idea. Maybe not.
    The Plan at the moment:

Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).

    Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell
