I'm not disagreeing. I'm just saying that could be the only reason they'd call a roughing the passer. I don't see any other reason they'd call it.

It was simple payback. The Bears has been flagged for it earlier when it wasn’t so they flagged us to keep it even, except that it was the most crucial drive of the game and clearly not a penalty. It was 100% a bad call.

Its probably their reasoning but it was a very bad call unfortunately.

Disagree. No ref out there is giving makeup calls, especially ones when the game hangs in the balance.

The answer is very simple: it was a bad call. Refs **** up.

The roughing the passer call, that's a legit beef. Both of them.

I'll never understand why teams touch the player down in these situations. Exact same thing that cost Houston the game against New Orleans last week. If no one touches the WR, the clock keeps running, then you touch him down at 0:00 and the game ends. It's just piss poor coaching to let that happen.
