Default Antonio Brown sued for rape. Fake or real?

    From the UK Daily Mail:

Patriots star Antonio Brown accused of raping and sexually assaulting his personal trainer - just two days after he signed a $20million deal with the Super Bowl champions

NFL Star Antonio Brown is being sued by his ex-fitness instructor who claims he raped her three times on three separate occasions between 2017 and 2018, a lawsuit filed Tuesday confirms.
The woman, who identifies herself as Britney Taylor, says she was hired by Brown as a personal trainer in 2017, alleging the first rape to have taken place in during a training session in June that year.
More details including two texts from AB:

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...o=taboola_feed

Any coincidence she files this two days after AB signs a contract with the Patriots?

Will Goodell discipline AB like any other player or will he get special treatment since he's now a Patriot?

Wonder what Robert Kraft will say about this, given his own sex/legal troubles?

    Last line of the story:

Brown will be able to continue playing for the Patriots while legal proceedings occur, as Taylor's complaints come as part of a civil lawsuit, rather than a criminal one.

I hate stupidity. Who gets raped and then goes back to work for the same guy twice more? Trust me, it's not easy taking AB as a character witness but, in this case, it sure sounds like a classic #MeToo shakedown. Read the whole story first - it doesn't paint a pretty picture of either of them.

Sounds quite real, but I'm sure he'll getaway with it.

He's innocent until proven guilty but people are free to make their own judgements.

Here is the problem with todays culture, we are much better at condoning this behavior and bringing awareness, but there has been just as much fake scandal about this stuff as real lately, so its hard to believe until all the facts are out. As an example people were ready to crucify Neymar(big time world soccer player) when his accuser came out and she has just been arrested after it came out she lied. Then you have the college football player whos life was almost ruined over a lie. Its even more apparent today that people should be allowed to be innocent until proven guilty. If he did it he should fry, but right now current state of affairs says its just as likely a money grab as it was him doing it. Until the facts are out its speculation on who is telling the truth. I personally am not taking sides until everything has come to light. Even more so since the media tends to twist things these days for shock value then actually reporting of facts.

I hope if he did do it he ends up in prison in a dark hole, and she gets the help she deserves and needs, however if he didn't do it and it was a money grab she should be the one in jail....at this point no way to ascertain who is telling the truth....to early to tell.
Prove me wrong Flacco! Otherwise in Lock I trust!

    An update at Yahoo Sports:

    https://sports.yahoo.com/antonio-bro...043308169.html

One possibility for Brown mentioned by Schefter is that NFL commissioner Roger Goodell could place Brown on the commissioner’s exempt list while the league investigates the allegations. Such a move would give Brown his salary, but take him off the team’s active roster and forbid him from playing in games and practices.
The list has been used in the past to sideline Adrian Peterson, Kareem Hunt and Reuben Foster following their own personal scandals.
    Also...

Brown denied all allegations in a statement released by his lawyer, and reportedly plans to countersue Taylor for civil extortion.

If you want to discuss society, #metoo, etc please find your way to P&R. There are already threads about Antonio Brown and his ongoing saga. Feel free to post about him there but leave the political parts in P&R.
